Noteworthy Cars for Sale [Appreciation Thread]

Wagon/weapon. RS6.

Seems a tad pricey for something that needs lots of work. Power seems very optimistic too, is an increase of 200Nm normal? Just looking, I always thought older RS6s were NA but looks like I was wrong.

I've no idea how long they last, but if it's every 45k, then it would due soon (again no idea what normal is).

Part and parcel of owning a high performance car? Granted some will need money more regularly than others and gearbox rebuilds aren't normally on the list.

Those boxes take up to around 900nm and I expect the ferocity of the tune along with how it's driven will impact how regularly it'll need a rebuild. 60k seems to be the going rate and it seems all the owners were hot on preventative maintenance.

Seems to be a well spec'd and cared for example. Given it's almost 20 years old the cosmetic condition tallies in my opinion.

Anyway, I'm not in the market for a wagon just yet. Might be nostalgic for some here for what was at the time the fastest production estate! Sub 5 seconds to 60 in 2003.

Another one I'm almost tempted to buy to put it out of its misery

WTF have they done to it.

(I'm sure there was another thread for stuff like this but I can't find it for searching)

Slightly pricy but beautiful:

Amazing to see that magazine guide from 2000 saying a top notch Lancia should be £23k max. £23k investment to potentially £130k in 22 years. Not a bad return on your money. Gorgeous car#

The BMW doesnt do anything for me.

An 8 litre V10 I quite fancy for a laugh

The Delta sold for £105k almost. Mental money, but that price likely just gave every other Delta a £10-£20k price uplift.

Looks like there were quite a few cars that didn’t make their reserve. https://silverstoneauctions.com/the-may-sale-2022/2022-05-28

This is a rare car which you wont see everyday and with its engine, only one of 3 ever built with the l engine (only 17 cars ever built and only 7 remaining) and more so since it was built to the exact spec of Ascari's own collection car, its going to be the only one you ever see the same on the road.

Surprised its not worth more than the estimate of £100k to £120k tbh.

I've never been enamoured by the look of the thing though. Pretty it is not.
