Now I'm here I have questions

no you don't want it to level out - you want to keep adding more and more machines so it's in a permenantly errect state :D

mine kept drooping a while ago but since I've got my X2 I've just felt much more of a man ;)

SiriusB - as soon as your first WU is completed and sent in you'll be stomping hundreds of slackers, the WUs are worth a lot lot more than they used to be and there's quite a bit of old dead wood down the bottom of the ranks :o

Yeah I get that, I'm just curious as to how people work out the number of days it will take to stomp someone.

The EOC stats are rates derived from the raw output from Stanford. They keep a record of what you turn in for 7 days and based on the number of points for the last 7 days, they calculate PPD (points per day). It's like physics. They then compare points per day as velocities and total points as position.

If I'm advancing at 250 PPD and you're going at 200 PPD, I gain 50 points per day. If your total score is 1000 and mine is 500, it will take 10 days for me to stomp you.

Get it? ;)

Is is odd that I am now wondering how much a 2nd PC would be just to use for folding?

I denied myself an upgrade recently and bought a 360 but now I'm interested in watercooling the Northwood and maybe getting another because it will mean I can add more to my WUpenis :/

Not sure how practical you are.. but if you want to add more to your collection but hide them from aitch, www.mini-itx.com has lots of neat examples of hidden PCs ;)

I solved problem a and created problem b
Launched as a service.
Entered C:\FAH2 to do work.

A potential conflict was detected:

Program will now exit. Upon restart, this check will not be done --
you may wish to check that no client is currently running in
C:\FAH before restarting.

I had that problem with one of my clients, and it seems to have just sorted itself out somehow. I had the same 'a potential conflict was detected' error.

Mine do that occasionally on startup, usually if the previous client shutdown wasn't clean (i.e. the PC crashed). F@H leaves behind a file indicating the client is running. Next time, it sees that file and balks.

Having spent some time in GD over the last few days I would try any/all of the following whilst I go have a look on the folding community forums for something more useful

1) kill it with fire
2) punch it in the ovaries
3) liberally smother it in mustard
4) flingbang????
