NR200 Owner's Thread

you worry too much :)
they say 2.5, the GPU top only 4/5mm over the 3rd bracket
same as my card

fans will fit ;)

If Coolermaster got the cases maybe they can send 1 today direct to me so I can do a
review build & try :D

Not sure if we missed any questions now and we hope that most of the pressing questions were answered or somewhat answered to the best we can.
Understandably the compatibility of coolers is something a lot of you are asking for help with and we hope the detail provided will give a good indication on what will work.

If we missed anything, feel free to tag myself or @cmxiao and we will try to answer asap

@cmxiao @Ron_CM

Hi,

I'll be using a 2.5 slot Vega 56 Pulse initially in standard orientation which is a 2.5 slot GPU, do you know what width fans will fit in the base please? The slimmest I've found available are 13mm. If you're not sure do you know the distance in mm from the base to the bottom of the first PCIE slot?

Thanks

@Ron_CM @cmxiao

I wouldnt mind getting confirmation of the distance between the case floor and first PCI slot before I buy some fans please?

Thanks

USB C front panel upgrade kit be nice as a future upgrade,
Asus ROG STRIX B550-I GAMING as the Type C port

but Coolermaster would need to change the top panel to include the Type-C hole for the upgraded Front I/0 Board.
Guess this would depend on demand for a Type-C

This could be a nice Self Mod for me to do :)

@Ron_CM @cmxiao Question: Around what thickness of 2.5"HDD can be mounted on front?
I have a 5TB 2.5" Seagate HDD that is 1.5cm / 15mm thick

No worries if you don't know time will tell :D

they can release a cable with the shape of a USB 3 head that house a USB C female connector inside, i don't know why anyone never released such cable.

Type 3.1C gen2 header can do 10GB & 100w power, Maybe that's why. :D

Normal USB for one thing not got all the wires like the Type C & would need to take 100w power upto

"Gigabyte B550I AORUS PRO AX" Sold out OCUK, must sell all on pre-order, Will have to go elsewhere to buy
modding the case for Type C I use a Passthrough TypeC cable from the rear I/O of the B550I AORUS PRO AX to front

Just had to cancel my pre order to order elsewhere for the Gigabyte Pro AX. Good news is from tomorrow when the motherboard arrives all I need is the case as my SF750 was delivered today (hopefully its ok because the box is battered)

So you're a Relentless Prime :D
Looking forward to the Gigabyte B550I PRO AX, Got 5 star rating all over
90amp Power stages :D

There are 2 reasons why I not gone for Asus ROG STRIX B550-I GAMING

(1) the Asus AI SUIT is bloated /full of options you don't need
(2) when I had 2 different Asus AMD boards "B450-i" & Asus Prime X470 PRO"
there a fault or bug in the ASUS software or hardware line of the 4000 Series
that crash the PC when trying to calibrate the fans in AI suit, from PC would restart at random times /or with the AI SUIT FAN screen stats of temp RPM, CPU all that going 0 in red messed up

So I not risking the new line of Asus boards & no way paying more cash even if the fault as gone

Just ordered 4 x Arctic P12 in White too, getting excited now, full spec below to go in the case -

Corsair SF750 PSU
Gigabyte Aorus Pro AX Motherboard
Ryzen 3600
16GB Team Group 3200 RAM
Saphire Vega 56 Pulse
Samsung 1TB 860 Evo SSD
4 x Arctic P12 PWM PST White
AMD Wraith Prism

That gets the build up and running, then I'll be getting the following on release -

Noctua NH-U9S Chromax
Ryzen 4700X or equivalent
Faster RAM depending on specs for 4000 series
PCI4 NVME SSD
New AMD GPU on release

4 x Arctic P12 in White Ready
AMD Wraith Prism Ready
Arctic freezer 34 White Ready
BIG SHURIKEN 3 for if I use Riser Cable Ready
Gigabyte B550 PRO AX on its way
Ryzen 3700x/3600 Ready
Corsair 32gb RGB 3200mhz kit ready
Gigabyte 2070 SUPER Windforce x3 White Just arrived Ready
Samsung EVO SSD Ready
SEAGATE 5TB might use

A later date will swap out the Corsair for memory RGB kit
When they release a 32gb 3600mhz or better?

NVME M.2 SSD I used in the past
The reason why I am not using 1

(1) Price of M.2s can cost a lot more depending on the brand & offers
(2) Installing & taking it out is longer than a 2.5" SATA SSD, especially in this case as the quick swap mounting
(3) Speed increase of an NVME over a 500mb read & write
in windows & gaming really not noticeable, only a few % would make use of the speed
at this moment in time
(4) Temps will be Higher & can be a concern on some motherboards

You can get a 580 read & 530 write 2.5" SATA SSD 2TB for around £150

So looking forward to this case as it was the original idea to go with a ssf and really liked some of the Sliger cases but they are too expensive.
Ended up going completely the other way and getting a lian li o11 dynamic which I enjoyed building in.

My build in this case will be a Ryzen 2700X on a B450i MSI motherboard cooled by a H100i Platinum. 16gb 3200mhz corsair vengeance pro. Samsung 970 500gb evo main drive, 1 1tb sata ssd and a 1tb sshd 2.5inch.
Gpu is the RX5700 xt Powercolor red devil. Cooling fans Artic P12 PWM and a evga 550w sfx psu.

Then it just a whether a I put a machine together with the parts and my old case or sell everything separately.

Just waiting for the case to start building my desktop machine, the last one I built was more than 10 years ago :P

Corsair SF750 PSU
ROG strix-b550 I gaming
Ryzen 3600x
32GB Trident z neo 3600 RAM
Adata sx8200 pro 1TB SSD

Later I'll add more things as needed :D
