Nuclear attack

While I admire your resolve I feel obligated to point out the major flaw in your plan - a Red has largely decided when you die by launching the nuke, your only choice is in which of the four minutes you choose to pull the trigger. :p

Not to mention, you might actually survive the gunshot wound, and believe me its a nasty way to stay alive for four minutes before being nuked...

Personally I would grab my trustee geiger muller counter and commandere the local bank vault. I would obviously have to take essentials like food, computer, long ethernet cable, tv, xbox etc etc.

Ummmm not to be a **** but the vast majority of the internet would be down (despite what they say), and there'd probably be no TV if any of your electrical items even worked. Ever heard of EMP?

My electrical items would be safe in ze bank vault duh.

Alternatively lots of porn magazines and a woman with large breasts will suffice.

Just the one? Don't you think you may be limiting your options unnecessarily here? Apart from anything else if you've got to repopulate the World you want more genetic diversity than just you and one other lady could offer.

Beggars can't be choosers.

You might have thought that but in my personal apocalypse I can choose whatever I want and when I'm speaking to my 27 kids from different mothers I want to be able to say "daddy may have been shut in a bank vault for a year but boy did he have a good time".

"Make your food stocks last: ration your supply, because it may have to last for 14 days or more."

Great. Come through a nuclear attack to find Tesco shut for the next fortnight. The hits just keep coming.

i'm sorted if i'm at work, i'll just go live in the walk in fridge for 2 weeks, plenty of food and drink, cold to protect from the heat of it, thick walls to protect from the light and my iphone for about 4 hours use :D

I'll just stock up with beer.

I watched Threads the other week for the first time in years. Damn, that film hasn't got any less disturbing all these years on. Not only does it graphically show the immediate effects of a nuclear attack on the UK, but it also shows how the country and it's remaining people would be screwed generations later.

Not a nice film, but it's a film I think everybody needs to see at least once.

I agree totally ... it's not a nice film to watch but it's very powerful and it gets the point across that in a nuclear exchange there would be only losers.

I've seen this film and I've been to the museum in Hiroshima and I think I'd rather go quickly than a slow death from radiation.

Well thats re-assuring, I live close enough to the city centre that is someone were to dump a nuke on Belfast, I'd pretty much die instantly.

Better off that than die of radiation poisoning.
