I have just installed the new Nvidia driver version 186.18, and also I noticed there is a new "Nvidia Sytem Tools" which I have also installed.

Looks like Nvidia finally let you use there special program to manually overclock your card. Unfortunatly there is no auto-overclocking option (what a surprise) so I used the overclock that Tweaktown managed with there Gainward card.

Hopefully it will now play even better in all the games that I currently have installed, even though my system can pretty much do that already.

Has anyone else noticed this software, and have also had a crack at overclocking there cards?

If I`m right in thinking Nvidia System Tools was initially for Nvidia Motherboards.

Ntune is the program to install for Performance option in Nvidia Drivers. I had this installed with pre 186 drivers but on the latest drivers if I install Ntune when I click on Performance tab in NVidia Control Panel it blue screens with oclx64.dll or some similiar named dll.

However as RivaTuner doesn't work with latest drivers for me I used EVGA Precision which is championed by many on here and it works fine.

I obviously don't read this GFX section enough as I never heard of this program until this thread. Sounds great since it runs on most brands and not just EVGA :)

Surprised you've not seen it in other threads!

It runs on any compatible card (regardless of brand) and almost all cards are supported :p

Where Rivatuner failed for me on Vista64 at keeping the OC after a reboot EVGA Precision works wonderfully and at the same time offers some nice logging graphs.

Just a surprise that Nvidia gives you the option to manually overclock the card. Just waiting for Rivatuner to finally have a new version to support the latest Nvidia drivers, as they had a very easy to use "automatic overclocking" where all of the hard work is done for you. As far as I can see, there is no overclocking software that has this feature, as the EVGA Precision, System Tools etc only have the manual option

I only get a message that the drivers are not supported but after that Rivatuner still loads and still allows overclocking and manual fan speed adjustment

Same here but that might be because I use it with an 8800GT. Is it possible it doesn't work with the GTX 2xx range?
