Nvidia 3060 release date and time

That's a given, noticed today one of the UK distributors have stock listed but no actual stock yet (what a surprise).
End of March should see more stock fingers crossed

are ocuk going to have the decency this time to put the links live on the forum, or will we be left holding our piece's while stock disappears via facebook promotions?

I'm guessing these will go up for around £500 so will be interesting to see how performance compares to the 18month old 2070 super which went for around the same.

hope they have a good hash rate :)

3070 - 20TFLOPS - 61MH/s
3060Ti - 16TFLOPS - 60MH/s
3060 - 12TFLOPS - 45MH/s
Which one do you think is best bang for buck at current/predicted prices?

I reckon they will be closer to the 2060 Super instead... for me, they will only be an option if I can get one for 300-350£, which of course is not gonna happen... not even sure if it would be worth the upgrade at 300£ for me even, when I was planning to get a 3070 instead...

Unfortunately £300 don't even get you a RX580 these days...

Yeah, tell me about that, like if I hadn't been looking for a GPU since early december...

My problem is that I was planning a mayor upgrade, for starting to use VR really... I was planning to get a 3070, maybe even a 3060Ti... but, at these prices, I could only get the 3070 by paying +750£, which is way above of what I was intending to spend... sure I could spend 450£ on a 3060, but is it worth the upgrade if I am not gonna be able to use VR and will keep playing at 1080p? I don't think so.

Let's not forget that the 3060 would be almost the entry-level card from Nvidia... it shouldn't be worth more than 300£. I remember RX580 cards being sold for 100£ some time ago... try to look for one of these now... as you say, no less than 300£.

If Nvidia follow the pattern of the rest of the 3000 series release, the day before they go on sale, so the 24/2/21

the funny thing is nvidia is on about selling older cards again which miners wont go for. so 1050tis for eg and 2060s.

GDDR6 is apparently going up in price this month as well as being in short supply, its in the new consoles and AMD has doubled the amount in the current released 6000 series compared to the 5700xt, plus in the 3070 & 3060ti.
I wonder if there is cheap and spare GDDR5 capacity to make the 1050ti, and that is why they are making more

they making more because they obviously have stock and miners arent interested in them as they make peanuts.

just looked 3080s are doing nearly £250 a month. so many places will just keep the cards mine on them from new then stick em in b grade for eg. they will sell for new prices and you keep the mining profits. its a golden egg.

or sell on ebay for nearly twice as much. or...miners just buy with cash insentives from retailers. give me so many cards and i will give you a good back hander. its the reason why you wont see any cards for a good while. thing is it could be made harder but with cards flying out why would you ?

its a business at the end of the day.
