Nvidia 3060 release date and time

OcUK as previous launches won’t be taking orders, we shall wait until another time when we have more stock and the entire world is not trying to buy the 500 units we have and thus causing us to sell like 5000 units in first two minutes creating another massive back order problem.

So no one will be buying 3060’s from us until sometime in March!
So wait for the prices to rise more and then sell at an even higher rate, good business plan to be fair.

300? Dream on. Rumours around of $500 which basically means £500 here. Psychotic pricing.

300 is the proper price they should be obviously we know scalpers and the rest are going to make that probably double. its a shame nvidia cant step in and say look ! you sell at the actual retail price or you get no stock ! its simple but they wont do that.

But then all the scalpers with their stock bots would simply make more profit because they could buy at RRP.

They could do if it was an FE version they were selling but aib cards are just up in the air regards to pricing.

Wouldn’t help you get one. Price seems irrelevant these days when it comes to availability

If people are falling over themselves buying 1080ti and 2070s for around £500 I highly doubt a 3060 will go anywhere near £300.

Great if you're selling a second hand card I guess.

there are only 2 places to get the 3060 at RRP on release, no scalped prices

thats if you can add to basket and process the purchase fast enough, so if you need a 3060 at rrp get ready for tomorrow and be logged in get you card registered or typed in a note pad ready to cop n paste

Do it correctly i you will have a 3060 on release guaranteed....

That's assuming they are listed at the official release time and no later... there will probably be 3423242 people using bots or scripts anyway. Sadly, I don't think any of us will have the chance of getting it at the reccomended price...

by RRP do you mean in the realms of £300? I don't think it's for sale anywhere at that price, more like £450 - so expensive

If there was an FE model it would be at the proper price point, but according to this article there is no FE version, so let the lubing of the butthole commence.

Tragic no FE whatsoever, I am really in two minds whether to eat my own ass and just get price gouged on this model at £450+ or wait for something with more value. Problem being I currently have no GPU and a pile of components for a new build lying on my floor.

Will a full build on the floor, and no hope the situation improving for months, i'd be buying something now or selling the rest of your build for a tidy profit. You're losing out both ways at the minute.

I have a 1050TI back up plan in place, hooray for 5 year old games! XD

Personally unless you can find a 3060 near MRSP I wouldn't get one unless it reviews well. The 6700xt in March should be a better performer but there will probably be as many in shops as giant pandas in captivity outside of China

Appreciate the advice, i think everyone has been beset with a scarcity mindset now when it comes to GPU's which I'm sure retailers will be thrilled about. Personally 'm just about made up that I'll be pulling the trigger on an overpriced 3060 if I can get one tomorrow, wish me luck.
