Nvidia 320.18 WHQL Display Driver is Damaging GPUs

I have spent most of today testing my 780 with these drivers to see if it will fail. Even after hours of abuse my GPU temps are still fine and nothing more than me spilling my tea on the keyboard has caused any issues in anything.

I even added +200 to both the core and memory and put the voltage slider thing at +38Mv or whatever is max and nothing has happened.

Now just running Valley on a loop max settings 1440p see if it fails.

Things you do when bored...

Probably best off posting this in the official Nvidia forum Kap.

You are probably right.

It is just that this thread is going on and on but no one has posted with a broken card.

There has been at least one person with a card running very hot but that could be down to lots of things.

The one thing I do know for sure is these drivers are not the best.

I am using them on this rig at the moment and my GPU temps are

Not the best?..... lol understatement if you go to the Nvidia [email protected] here https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/544882/geforce-drivers/official-nvidia-320-18-whql-display-driver-feedback-thread-released-5-23-13-/60 ,glad I went back to 314.22 all the stupid lockups I was getting etc ,definitely the worst drivers they have ever released IMHO.

I see someone has been suspended again, not surprisingly...

314.22 do work on 780's, apparently. either that or 320.11 or whatever it is that's on the 780's supplied CD
As far as I can see, the only drivers supported officially are the 320.18's, the 320.11's are what was supplied with my GTX 780 Windforce.

The 314.22 are not supported either, unless you edit the drivers - not sure if anyone has actually tried doing that.

Also the other 320 series drivers listed on the Nvidia driver page are not supported either - example below.

I am fed up of being jumped on at every opportunity.

What goes around comes around, we all get jumped on now and again. Don't worry about it mate, I like your sarcastic posts as much as your helpful ones. Gregster is good at giving impartial advice when it's needed. Their are people here way more biased than Gregster.

True we've all been jumped on at one point or another. I got jumped on by multiple nvidia users for posting game benchmarks from gamegpu. It happens to everyone at some point. :)
