NVIDIA 4000 Series

Taking into account inflation, a 3080, at the MSRP of £650, in 2020, then by 2024, it would be £790.

Somewhere Nvidia have found a reason to add an extra £410 to the price to get the original 4080 and £210 for the 4080 Super.
Sure, the 4080 was the biggest ripoff in the line up. But I think its the 4070ti Super thats being compared at around £800.

This gen is a write off, I mean 4070 ti s for £800 is just 25% faster than a 3080 at 4k.

Take 4080 results and add 5%.

If that tbh, probably be more like 3-4%. It has 5.2% more CUDA cores but only 2.6% more memory bandwidth so the overall lift will be between these two and lower at higher resolutions.

The 4080 SUPER isn't about the performance bump, it's about the price drop, at least as far as manufacturers will actually "respect it".

Frankly I think the FE will be like rocking horse poo as this level of performance for £959 is actually a pretty good deal.
AIB cards will be £lol.

From some leaks it looks like most 4080 Super cards will cost £1100, but we will have to wait until next week to be sure, but at £1100 is the 4080 Super still a better deal.

Which is what makes the FE at £959 a relative steal for the performance, especially with AIB 4070 Ti SUPERs at £900 as mentioned earlier.

I'd be after one myself if I didn't already have a 4090.

Buy the FE. No one is forcing anyone to pay for more expensive options.
That is true but how often is the FE cards out of stock and from rumours the stock of the 4080 Super will be less than the release of the standard 4080.

Best bet unless your gpu is dead is to play less demanding games with what you got and get a 5070/80 in 12 months or maybe sooner. Those will no doubt improve price for performance.

Can't see it selling well. Maybe the few FE's they make. They are simply over priced for what they offer.

5080 should be $799 and that would sell like hot cakes. Assuming it is around 4090 performance.

Someone will be along to laugh at the above. Happened so many times though. I still remember people not accepting me saying the 1070 would offer their Titan performance for a fraction of the price. And then it happened
