My first ever Zotac card, feel comfortable with the 5yr warranty at least.

Wonder if anyone will bother to review the basic one like I got.

I have really become to appreciate DF, the normal reviewers just load up a game, monitor the performance and are usually done, this guy great explanation of why vsync should be on alongside gsync and the experiments he did plus the analysis of the visual quality, as well as the efforts put in to show DLSS3 frames properly in the video. DF remain the only reviewer I am aware of to detect issues in FF7 Remake.
I found his take on vsync really interesting that I figured would be worth mentioning here.

1:
No matter what, I have always found that enabling vsync in pretty much any game introduces mouse movement latency, that elasticy effect you see when moving the mouse around quickly. Some people get used to this, and I did too for a stretch when I was on a 60Hz monitor with no VRR, but now that I have a VRR monitor up to 175Hz and with Gsync Ultimate, I only have Gsync enabled in NVCP, and have not forced vsync on in the global setting there. I also leave Vsync off in all games, I have yet to see any tearing whatsoever whether the game is running under or over my framerate target, which is either 120fps or 144fps since my monitor is in 144Hz mode (10-bit colour vs the 175Hz in 8-bit).

Games like FDays Gone I have to choose 120fps target because the preset slider is not granular, it goes from 120 fps to 150 for example, so I settled on 120. If I set it to unlimited and let it run at any fps it wants, then it could be 150, 170, 165 fps etc - In these situations I still see no tearing, just a nice and smooth motion. I lock it to a comfortable 120fps because the GPU caps don't whine as much then and the GPU fan doesn't run as loud.

2:
So what's going on here, why am I not seeing any tearing? is it because my monitor is an OLED and the nature of OLED motion means any tearing you would normally see on an IPS-LCD is removed?

3:
Is it because it is Gsync Ultimate?

4:
Is it a combo of both 2 and 3?

It's an intriguing one, I have tested with a bunch of setting configurations in a whole host of games since getting this monitor and no tearing is observed in anything whilst leaving Vsync off, but leaving Gsync enabled and letting the Gsync Ultimate module do what it needs to do.

This sort of thing doesn't really get clarified much on technically geared videos or reviews so I've observed this thing and am asking myself what's going on, even though I see no problem (tearing), so am not too fussed either way lol.

Same as me , my 1st Zotec card having previously owned Asus Strix cards but that 5 year warranty is nice touch ... i think Zotec are ok with you watercooling it as well but will have to recheck that . Yeah would like to know what the basic one does also but if the amp does 495w then i cant see it being higher than that tbh .
