Learnt to code, I now work for Elon the donHow did you get to be not poor?
It was arknor all along! In the study, with the lead pipeI'm going to guess... inheritance.
Oh...Learnt to code, I now work for Elon the don
I'd be embarrassed to admit I worked for twitter or Facebook.
all day you'd be getting ribbed about musk or zuckerborg
I have always used it a reference for temps and clock frequency , its got a thread on this forum that is still very active and goes back years ... my 1080ti, 3080, 3090 & 4090 results are in there somewhere. I also find the theme tune catchyNever saw the appeal of that benchmark
Yeah they're clearly not selling out quickly enough, nvidia need to restrict supply to increase the level of excitement and exclusiveness need to halve that 10 on sale to 5Not like I would buy either , don't get why wouldn't wait for AMD and see what they have to offer
Going by last drop of 4080 Fe can't see it being difficult to get
Never saw the appeal of that benchmark

Yep I agree, As old as heaven is It's actually very good for testing your GPU for both memory and core stability, I still use it to this day, I remember with the 30x series when everyone was pushing their Vram to stupid high clocks (Bragging rights) Only to find they were getting lower FPS haha because heaven is great at finding the optimal Vram overclock, I saw it with my own eyes, My Zotac 3080 anything above +900 and performance was degrading but not crashing. It's a stability test only, the benchmark or scores doesn't matter
Yeah I’m sure those games are great on the quest with a 6800… it’s not like AMD are unusable.
Unfortunately I’m running higher resolution (G2 currently and have a Crystal preorder), and my most commonly played games are also possibly the worst for performance in VR, sims like ACC and MSFS.
The biggest barrier however is that both Varjo and now Pimax simply don’t support AMD with their newest headsets due to the frameworks Nvidia provides that underpins how they work… you have to wonder if that’s going to become more and more common as these more advanced headsets with foveated rendering become the norm. As one example according to mbucchia (developer of OpenXR toolkit and WMR dev) AMD doesn’t support foveated rendering at all in DX11 and only in DX12, which obviously isn’t much use when the majority of games are still DX11. Nvidia have provided the tools to get it working in both.
It's a load of cobbles.Never saw the appeal of that benchmark
Terrible company to be throwing £2000 at for an unreleased product. Certainly not something I would allow to dictate my GPU purchasing choices.
I have a vive pro 2 and a Pimax 8k both gathering dust. VR just not all that really and I’m well in to flight sims.
Few points
Firstly I haven’t thrown £2k at them for an unreleased product, I threw a £30 refundable reservation at them… I’m aware of their track record and am waiting for all the feedback from the road shows over the next month before I will commit anything more.
Secondly, it’s not just pimax it’s Varjo too… (and a couple of other high end commercial only headsets like starVR for example). The common theme is that Nvidia is providing a better framework for these advanced VR headsets and actively working with the manufacturers. Varjo and Pimax have both made mention in the past that AMD hasn’t been responsive to them when they’ve tried to engage.
Thirdly, to each their own - VR is in fact “all that” to me with my reverb G2 and motion rig setup that I currently have. If you don’t particularly enjoy it that’s your prerogative but I don’t share your opinion.
