NVIDIA 5000 SERIES

I just really wish that AMD would pull their thumbs out when it came to non gaming ai stuff... CUDA Is so dominant that it's one of the deciding factors for me going back to team green. I guess even if it's only a 30% increase over the 4090 that would probably equate to a 50% to 55% increase for me from a 7900 XTX in pure raster which I guess is decent. But I guess we'll truly know on the 24th when the independent reviews come out.

Dont know whether its just my age (imminently 40) or its genuinely the slow down in pace but I certainly miss tech launches being exciting.

Contemplated whether to upgrade and I'm sat thinking whats the point. Apparently 30% increase in performance, for circa the same % cost increase, after 2 and a bit years. Thats a monumentally poor offering imo.

And to play what as well? The story driven FPS I grew up on and which drove GPU sales is long since dead and hardly anything comes out that not a rerelease or 3 year old console port. Innovation or risk-taking is dead as nothing makes enough money more bar the obvious COD/FIFA/GTA juggernauts that make ALL the money.

2 and a bit years used to be an age in the tech/gaming space. I used to change PC parts all the time, because as a hobby it was fun, relatively affordable and often saw huge performance gains. 20 years later and everything cots an arm and a leg, barely improves and the games don't exist.

Apologies for this miserable take on our hobby!

Hub saying circa 30% uplift and 25% extra cost is very disappointing. Media referring to framegen as extra performance are no more than influencers for Nvidia.
they are "interpolated frames" and nothing more than glorified tv technology

even has the same visual artifacts/glitches

it's something monitors should have not actual gpus imo
