NVIDIA 5000 SERIES - ***NO COMPETITOR HINTING***

One or two people won’t make a difference, when they will still sell out in seconds.

It’s like old Joe riding his bike everywhere trying to save the planet, when there are thousands of cars speeding past him giving him the finger.
I don't disagree, but the sad fact is even if these were £5k then there will still be someone who buys them just to say they have one on day one

Thing is stores could be buying units above msrp and consumers won’t care.

All they see is the mark up over the FE cost, it’s not an unfair view to take when you want as much value for your money.

True. It would have been nice to set expectations in terms of pricing (like they did last gen) but really they only set availability expectations this time around.

I guess we will soon see how this offering compares to others. :)

TBF even at £1000 I think the 5080 is overpriced, probably should be around £800 and even then thats double what the 60ti cards traditionally sold for.
Agree completly, but card prices only ever go up. Expect 1500+ for the 6080, and 2.5 to 3k for the 6090. Just silly pricing. Especially when console gaming has come so far now

Look at this release, it’s a little disappointing in terms of performance, however if prices are higher and peopke still buy them, which they will, this will be far worse down the line if say the 6000series uplift is much better.

nVidia never cared what we thought. It's not unique in the industry either. It's a money making endeavour first and foremost, not a charity or research hub.
There's money making and there's not carrying if their product sells because there's so little of it and they are a monopoly so they can afford a lot of backlash and still keep the market share for a long time. As few reviewers said, they are as arrogant as Intel was before its downfall.

They're going to be in a big mess in 5-10 years time if they keep acting like this, there's no chance, imo, they stay big in the ai space, competitors are going to eat them alive.

4090 Series Owners now the prices have been revealed:
