NVIDIA 780 Ti Announced (18/10/13)

That wasn't a personal attack. He's disagreeing with you and you're abusing the RTM function of this board instead of ignoring him or arguing your case. :)

Well humbug does the same, he's accused me of personal attacks before when my post has done nothing of the sort.

It looks rather pathetic, let the dons judge if it's personal.

Can you all just pack it in? Fed up of the stupid pettiness in this Graphics Card forum, tempted to just ban you all for a month.

Pack it in now. Thank you.

$200 over a 780? I can only assume the ti has 6GB and full GK10 shaders to warrant such a price hike.

Dont think its gonna need it Raven if you think about it.

We now have the 780 at a very good price to compete with the 290x and although some wont admit it,is arguably a better choice because of the custom coolers, noise and heat or lack thereof. Add shadowplay and the games to that and if I was buying today my money would be 780 for sure. Even if the 780ti comes out at £600 its not that much faster than a 780 and will be the "enthusiasts part",meaning the 780 will do the job most people need but for those wanting a huge epeen they also have an option

Doesn't really sound ground breaking given that 780's are very near Titans once overclocked? With the dropped price of the 780's the only thing it can offer to warrant the price is extra vram for the high res gamers.

It does not matter how NVidia go about it with the GK110, the overclocked performance will end up within about 5% of each other.

You can have less SMX modules and higher clocks or more SMX modules and lower clocks, but whichever way they go the end result will be similar.

If NVidia release a card with high out of the box clockspeeds, the journalists will rave about it and then make a small comment about the poor overclocking headroom. We have been here before with the GTX 770.

just a thought... 780 prices dropping towards £430 or less, think these 780 tis will take over the old price of £450-500 !

They should make the 780 tis 4gig and to compete with the 290x and further drop the prices of the old 780s lol

Going by the new prices (Lowest 780 prices) and 780ti leaked price,

GTX 780 = $499.99 = 309.44 + VAT 20% = £371.33 + retailer cut = £399.99+

GTX 780ti = $699 = 433.22 + VAT 20% = 519.86 + retailer cut = £550 - £600+

Not bad if the ti does convincingly beat the Titan in games.

So Gibbo what brands of 780Ti Will you have on launch day(7th Nov)? Will they all come with stock coolers or are they going in straight with custom given the custom 780's already out there?

Spot on Kaap. If you could have all 15 SMX units working and clocks similar to the 780, it would annihilate the Titan.
