yeah just looked and holy moley, so many second hand cards from £600+ XD
Honestly I am still in the "Wait and see what the red team brings" camp. Potentially more important is how the green team reacts to what the red team brings.
Check completed sales, green price = sold, black = unsold...in the past few days, a fair few 2080ti sold for around £750 before sellers fees, of 10 percent and PayPal fees around 2.9 percent, then postage costs... So rough calculation, £750 on ebay = around £640 after costs.
But also a fair few rtx 2080ti sold at closer to £900, those tended to be the better coolers etc.
I sold my RTX 2080ti around seven weeks ago for £900 to be ahead of the crowd, the price in general though are definitely dropping.
That a very good point, I completely forgot about the 4 year old 1080ti came with 11GBProblem is it wont be "cheap" it will be at least the price of the 1080Ti at launch. And that came with 11GB nearly 4 years ago! So no, they can ram it.
Ahh that old chestnut!![]()
gave my 2080 ti to a very good freind of mine a few months ago, had plenty of time to save up in prep for the 3090![]()
Waiting 2 months should alleviate supply issues, potentially regulate prices and maybe even bring a price drop anyway. I have a1080Ti just now so it's not going to kill me to wait.
Nice, can we be very good friends!
How much power will these cards need? I have 600w will that be enough?
Depends which model you go for.
If the gainward product pages are accurate, it mentions 750w recommended for 3090/3080
That’s what I thought and what I have in my basket
If its a decent 600w you might be fine. They'll always err on the side of caution on these product pages incase someone is trying to use a bargain basement psu to run it.
I'd imagine the 3070 and below would easily run on a 600w
always worth going for bigger then you need with a PSU as they normally last for many years and through multi system upgradesThat’s what I thought and what I have in my basket
