NVIDIA ‘Ampere’ 8nm Graphics Cards

yeah just looked and holy moley, so many second hand cards from £600+ XD

Check completed sales, green price = sold, black = unsold...in the past few days, a fair few 2080ti sold for around £750 before sellers fees, of 10 percent and PayPal fees around 2.9 percent, then postage costs... So rough calculation, £750 on ebay = around £640 after costs.

But also a fair few rtx 2080ti sold at closer to £900, those tended to be the better coolers etc.

I sold my RTX 2080ti around seven weeks ago for £900 to be ahead of the crowd, the price in general though are definitely dropping.

gave my 2080 ti to a very good freind of mine a few months ago, had plenty of time to save up in prep for the 3090 :)

Problem is it wont be "cheap" it will be at least the price of the 1080Ti at launch. And that came with 11GB nearly 4 years ago! So no, they can ram it.
That a very good point, I completely forgot about the 4 year old 1080ti came with 11GB
That really does make the new 3080 only coming with 10GB of Vram look crazy

That’s what I thought and what I have in my basket

If its a decent 600w you might be fine. They'll always err on the side of caution on these product pages incase someone is trying to use a bargain basement psu to run it.

I'd imagine the 3070 and below would easily run on a 600w

always worth going for bigger then you need with a PSU as they normally last for many years and through multi system upgrades

I always thought a 850watt PSU is a nice wattage to go for which should cover most system setups & later upgrades & the extra overclocking power draw

How much power will these cards need? I have 600w will that be enough?

Hard to say, if you said you are running an X299 system overclocked then no, if you are running a AMD R3 1200 then maybe. Best thing to do is see what you PSU can deliver on the 12v rail(s). The real answer thus far is no one really knows, until there are third party reviews.

5 pages of people arguing about the vram lol i guess you guys have better inside knowledge and assume all the rumours are facts.

I guess we will find out tomorrow
