NVIDIA ‘Ampere’ 8nm Graphics Cards

5 pages of people arguing about the vram lol i guess you guys have better inside knowledge and assume all the rumours are facts.

I guess we will find out tomorrow
Only 5 pages  it a bank holiday weekend it should be at lest 10 pages :D

Then again it only the morning of the bank holiday monday there time yet to get another 5+ pages :p

always worth going for bigger then you need with a PSU as they normally last for many years and through multi system upgrades

I always thought a 850watt PSU is a nice wattage to go for which should cover most system setups & later upgrades & the extra overclocking power draw

I have always gone for the highest current efficiency from a top brand, Mainly because they will come with a great warranty (12 years on current seasonic) and something people rarely mention is that if for example you buy a 1200 watt psu but only use 400-600 watts on average (not peak) then it will probaly never spin up the fan ever, which is great for noise and also proof that these things with those kind of loads will just last for decades.

Much better then buying a gold rated 600w-700w psu and pushing it too 500-600w usage daily and then the peaks and its fan is used 24/7 so within a couple of years you dont have faith in it and you buy another one.

Still early give it time lol

I hope the rumours are wrong but there normally pretty correct at this stage of the game.

No doubt this is something they've done on purpose. Can see myself being time limited in the use of one of these in precisely 5 months time. I was hoping to grab a 3080 to last me years at ultra wide res (and potentially whatever res a future hdr1000 120fps ultra wide monitor under £1000 takes). Low vram has me worried it won't and has me considering the 3090... Specs wise and price wise, the 3080 with more vram would've been the most ideal for me. 3090 value proposition doesn't look great looking at the specs.
There will probably be higher VRAM versions later on but I would buy anything until both companies launch their full ranges.

Which ones?

We already know that the 3080 has 10GB, and the 3090 has 24GB since we have official AIB partner cards showing this. Or are you referring to the pricing, or something else?

Still not official until the leather jacket man says so
If the 3080 is only released with 10gb might as well save some pennies and go with a 3070 8gb if the rumours are true

Waiting 2 months should alleviate supply issues, potentially regulate prices and maybe even bring a price drop anyway. I have a1080Ti just now so it's not going to kill me to wait.

It is referencing the guys that just buy nvidia cards, they come out with "if AMD were competitive.." then they basically still buy nvidia. It has no logic other than you want AMD to exist to make your nvidia cards ever so slightly cheaper. ;)

Yes, a lot of the rumours and leaks have proven to be true - FE PCB, 3090 naming etc

Actual pricing and actual performance are still the big unknowns. Unfortunately there have been too many leaks and rumours about high pricing which could now prove to be true.

They aren't rumours though, unless you include gainwards own product pages as rumour?

A leak from the biggest NVIDIA AIB manufacturer on the planet one day prior to launch is very unlikely to be incorrect.

Ah I get you :D. That's definitely not my thought process, before the 1080Ti I had many AMD cards and would happily go with them if it made most sense.

yeah just looked and holy moley, so many second hand cards from £600+ XD

Haha. I would not even pay £500 for one. Old tech now. All about nice shiny 3000 series :p:D

Nice, can we be very good friends!
Yea, was just wondering the same :)

Just seen this pricing from an Indian retailer:
https://www.digit.in/pc-components/nvidia-rtx-3090-graphics-card-price-210786.html

Around £1300ish.

Yea, I never believed the 2K nonsense anyway. I would be surprised if it is priced much more than a 2080Ti personally. End of the day it is very likely going to be on a smaller die, so if priced more it just means even more profit in Nvidia's coffers.

Yea, but I will still wait to see what LJM says, he can change his mind at any point and updating some slides takes seconds.
