Nvidia cards don't display full RGB color via HDMI—here's a fix

i didn't know about this issue but then again i have been using a AMD card since 2011 which i will be using a GTX 970 by Christmas

If you see four distinct shades, two white on the left, two black on the right, then you're in the clear. But if you only see a black and a white column, you have the problem.
But I see

one white
one grey
one light black or very dark grey
one dark black

 I have a grey one:confused:

You should what you seeing is the correct way it should be.. I think they got mixed up when writing that bit.

You would only see two white and two black if your Colour was outputting limited RGB.

Four shades should be seen like you seeing.

I have:

Top left: White
Bottom left: Gray
Top right: Black
Bottom left: Dark Brown :S (looks like mud)

Do you mean Bottom Right? This should look like a mix between Black and Gray.. Its this shade that gives you details in shadows in games etc

It defo shouldn't look Brown... Try putting you GPU colour setting to default or monitor display settings.

If you changed them.

Do you mean Bottom Right?

Yeah lol.

I assume by that you mean a darker gray?

It definitely has a brownish, dark greening, muddy tint to it.

Try here also. http://www.displaycalibration.com/brightness_contrast.html

Move over the colours to change the background you should keep seeing all the shades.

That one all works fine.

I'll try updating drivers.

This is a better test of BLB output. http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/black.php

If you are set up correctly (rgb limited output to rgb limited display or full to full) then you should see every shade above 0. if you see none, then your rgb full/limited settings need altering.if you see some of them, you've probably got your brightness too low.

I can see all except 1/2/3, this may be a brightness issue though as my controls have been broken by the latest AMD driver lol.
