NVIDIA GeForce 522.25 Driver Analysis - Gains for all Generations

This is Nvidia's version of "Fine wine", rather than incremental AMD, Nvidia ferments it for 2 years.
And times it to a major release!

Although to be fair it is now available to all (Nvidia users), and as far as Nvidia antics go this attempt to make the 4090 look even better was pretty mild. Have I mentioned that I hate how much importance is given to launch-day driver performance?

Has anyone else had a crash after running the Assassin's Creed Valhalla benchmark when it finishes and presents the results? For me, after the results I don't go back to the main menu and it boots me back to the Ubi launcher - this hasn't happened on any other drivers previously. I did see a nice jump in average, low frames though, so the driver clearly brings benefits

Anybody else tried this driver on Spiderman 3080 10gb?

Vram usage has increased causing slowdown/stutter in places(storyline fight scenes).

Time for me to record some gameplay and show no issues on my end again? :D

This at 4k with dlss?

I only played at 3440x1440 with dlss quality since the driver update and performance was a massive uplift.

Can see a before video in description. Can try 4k this week to see if any issues.

EDIT:

iirc, last patch or patch before upped the limit of vram usage for something as iirc, it was locked to 4gb. DF/Alex mentioned this

hmmm... subsequent runs of the benchmark seem to be fine, so maybe just an initial glitch due to the driver update or the Windows update that I did today

Only one game. Not an issue.

Don't worry they will find a selling point to sell the 4080 4070Ti 12 GB and guessing it will be VRAM 2GB more makes spiderman and some other game that worked fine before on 10GB but now needs 12GB.. Nvidia really are the best planned obsolescence company in the history of computer tech.
