NVIDIA GeForce 522.25 Driver Analysis - Gains for all Generations

Don't worry they find a selling point to sell the 4080 4070Ti 12 GB and guessing it will be VRAM 2GB more makes spiderman and some other game that worked fine before on 10GB but now needs 12GB.. Nvidia really the best planned obsolescence company in the history of computer tech.

It makes me wonder whether they are doing this on purpose - just check the video I posted. All the games now use more VRAM and system RAM now.

It appears the RTX3060 12GB is going to finally have its day!

Well based on my testing, I have only noticed improvements all round in various games, same as other sites/users have reported so don't think we are quite at the "planned obsolescence" stage yet but hey, if it suits the "10gb is not enough" narrative, lets go back to baseless comments again  :D

Just 2 games from me as didn't have any other dx 12 games with benchmarks (5600x and 3080 @ 3440x1440)

Just remembered I also captured spiderman (very cpu bound!) a day or 2 ago to show where DLSS is providing better IQ than native + SMAA so done the same loop with the new driver update, look at that improvement!

Would be interesting to see how much benefit better cpus like the 5800x3d benefit.

IIRC, DF stated it was down to the way the BVH was being done on the fly or/and using the CPU more, can't remember exactly though but agree! CP 2077 trumps it in every way. This driver update seems to have helped massively in it though! I mean look at this particular bit, obviously not frame for frame but you can see in the above videos, same area and at some point the frames would be more or less like for like.

Just remembered I still have f1 22 installed:

So are nvidia now the ones that provide us with "fine wine".....
:p

Haven't really monitored system or vram to see if it has gone up or down since not seen any fps latency or drop issues.

Planned obsolecence cant carry denial. Maybe someone dares to add the game into the dedicated thread discussion.. :D

You should check out that thread Cat, some serious blinker wearers out there!

Anybody else tried this driver on Spiderman 3080 10gb?

Vram usage has increased causing slowdown/stutter in places(storyline fight scenes).

Any specific one?

Just had a quick play and fighting some mobs with cutscene take downs, not seeing any real signs of issues specific to vram with the new driver update, at least in terms of frame latency or sudden/drastic fps drops (which is usually where vram issues will show). Performance tanks when I get to ground level/NPC heavy areas though because of CPU bottleneck as confirmed by DF etc. (even at 4k, which also happened on my setup before the driver update as shown below).

4k still processing.

Compared to my release day 4k/dlss quality footage but completely different lighting and weather and testing scenarios and not as demanding scenes so not a great like for like but overall looks like no degradation on my end:

If the storyline fight scene you are talking about is at the start, I can give it a try but alas I don't have before driver update footage.

Been running the game without AB previous to the new driver as everything was fine, although performance has went up I switched AB back on after noticing it to see if anything changed and the vrams now sitting very close in the upper limits of 10Gb where as it was 9Gb ish in general before the new driver.

It happened here:

In the middle of the Spiderman Grand Central fight scene and during the prison breakout fight scene

It doesn't CTD/single figure fps.

It isn't the 'dips' when you're web swinging and drop down but still swinging at low street level due to CPU limited.

It's manifesting as frame pasing increasing for a short spell then recovers-which is the main thing.

Too far on those fight scenes so I won't be getting footage anytime soon! :p But on next replay, will keep my eye out for it.

oh. Probably just a poorly optimised game tommy. ;)
