I'm officially out.

I ordered an Eagle on launch day and have been appalled by the manner in which the situation has been handled. My father ordered from a competitor the same day and has been getting prompt information on orders and they are even allowing people to transfer orders if there are no people in the queue. That's possible because the competitor isn't taking pre-orders, unlike OCUK.

The only reason I ordered the card was to have something to do whilst on paternity leave for the month of December. However, following this thread I'm over 500 in the queue and there have been questionable dealings regarding the card I ordered.

My father is currently considering a 6800XT to go with the 5950X he's going to order, so I'm going to be quicker offering to buy his card when it arrives. This debacle has destroyed any goodwill I had towards OCUK and that's especially sad when I've spent countless thousands over the years and have been shopping here for over a decade. :(
 
I'm 16th on the queue. If I don't get it, then it's a disaster! :D
Do you plan on cancelling in the next month or so if it does not arrive by any chance? Or you holding onto that position until next year if it comes to that? :p
 
Well relatispeaking I am at the front of the queue, so if I don’t get it by then, then I feel sorry for those who are in the middle or end of the queue. Lol

Good luck, you would like to think it could arrive anytime now but being mid 30s on the strix oc from the beginning and still not really being much further forward is a tad frustrating.

indeed. Though to make sure you’re not a robot can you please give me your full name and order reference? Failing that your deliver address? You can totally ignore the guy hiding outside your house and offering fivers to DPD delivery guys......

But you know, it is what it is. First world problems.

As Cyberpunk 2077 is not out I am rather chilled about it all. Well kinda, I will be a bit ****** if I don’t get my Watchdog Legion code or it has expired when I get it.
 
I guess while we wait for a deluge of MSI emails is as good a time as any to remind all of us who aren't lucky enough to recieve one in today's batch to update your queue position on the spreadsheet when you get an update email! You just need to fill in the form again and if you included you forum username each time it should put them all in the right row!

I especially encorage people who ordered their MSI 3080 Trios around 3:15pm, particularly @munkey and @Dugganator, since you are either side of my order time and since I don't get useful queue emails I'm forced to hunt down any posts you mention your position in to work out where I might be now. ;p
 
RIP all of us waiting on an ASUS TUF 3080 non-oc.

I'm into my 8th day in a row of tweeting them without a reply. I dont know who is to blame between OCUK not having that relationship or ASUS for producing hamster **** sized stock. At this moment, I suspect ASUS are prioritising their bank balance over their customers
 
Did anyone ever get a strix OC queue update considering some shipped yesterday?
I ordered 3080 Strix OC exactly week ago - and I never got my GPU queue position from ocUK...

I wrote to customer support, - instead of providing me with my Queue position (which i never received) they were asking if I’m searching through my emails correctly, and that I supposed to get queue position...

What are your thoughts on this, what I’m supposed to do...
 
I hope to hear some news about EVGA at some point.

A friend who got an EVGA card last Saturday from another location had to RMA his this week, that must be gutting... I do wonder how RMAs work with such huge demand still.

As an Eagle buyer (lol ironic) too I second what @TAC4U says about the appalling lack of communication this company has exhibited. Especially with Eagle orders that have been confirmed by Gigabyte themselves and ignored completely by OCuk.
I never wanted much, just a small bit of information about delayed or missing orders.

I used to recommend OCUK to anyone looking to buy hardware or prebuilds. No more.
As I am sub 100 in the queue I'll attempt to hold on for a couple more months but once this order has been fulfilled I will never be buying from this company again.

I'm sure there are droves of others with the exact same ultimatum and sentiments.

The queue for the Strix OC is still somewhere around 1000 long, so you'll be at least that far back :) there "should" have been an update email yesterday or today as some were sent out yesterday. I guess that means you'll get your first one when they send the weekly update on friday (if they're still doing them)

They probably give you priority, though my only experience was with Nvidia.
