*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

I ordered 3080 Strix OC exactly week ago - and I never got my GPU queue position from ocUK...

I wrote to customer support, - instead of providing me with my Queue position (which i never received) they were asking if I’m searching through my emails correctly, and that I supposed to get queue position...

What are your thoughts on this, what I’m supposed to do...

I think I can answer this one! There is supposed to be a weekly update on Fridays, plus whenever they ship out stock in the queue you are in. But last week they seemed to miss some of the cards in the Friday update, and I'm fairly sure the Strix OC was one of them!

At a guess you are somewhere in the 1100+ range for the Strix OC (an order on the 16th had a 1125 position on the 23rd, account for extra orders and cancelations, odds are you are still that far back). Hopefully they won't forget the Strix in this Friday's update.

Yes mate, Aorus confirmed to me OCUK had some, they could not/would not say how many,
That's why I think it was the teens amount gigaman said was coming,
Gigaman promised to come back to us later, that's if OCUK ain't banned him off the forum lol,
Would be nice for gibbo to wade in for some clarity, but not even going to tag him as its obvious hes probably muted this thread

Why is it the AIB's can't say numbers? Sounds like one big inside job if you ask me. AIB's and retailers both acting dumb to make out someone is dropping the ball when they could be both in on it.

1000+ pages! BABYBEEE

RIP all of us waiting on an ASUS TUF 3080 non-oc.

I'm into my 8th day in a row of tweeting them without a reply. I dont know who is to blame between OCUK not having that relationship or ASUS for producing hamster **** sized stock. At this moment, I suspect ASUS are prioritising their bank balance over their customers

There have been zero shipments of the non OC Tuf card since launch. Asus even said that they are prioritising the OC products and any chip that hits OC bins goes into OC products and reports suggest that almost all of the chips hit this level. I'm 1000 in the non OC queue and I ordered on the 19th September. Thats the situation with the non OC asus cards atm.

See how you both feel in a few months when people are grabbing cards elsewhere. your queue will still be... well a queue. It will get smaller but only due to cancellations.

The way i see it. At this point you're better not being in a queue and having the cash to buy when something comes up. Even casual browsing will get you one elsewhere before you get to the front of the queue here. Money in your bank whilst youre waiting is obviously much better than being here and money in your bank allows you to buy from any of the many other competitors when stock does come in.

Believe me when i say. The way things are going, all competitors are going to have decent stock levels before you get to the front of the queue here :p

Even the biggests box shifter in the uk had various 30s over the space of the last couple of days. They are coming into the uk in better numbers but we dont see that equate to anything meaningful here. You can see the increase when you look at competitors though. Somethings not right here and they currently have your money if you're in a queue. For a lot that will severely limit your options.

Just my 2p ofc. IF you're happy in a queue then fair enough but dont get upset when you get tired of waiting and people here remind you of your comments and determination to queue lmao :p

so is this gibbo not fighting with whoever orders si stock hard enough?
i've spoken to competitors and they've openely told me they can't get much (if any) si stock so are using retail stock in pre builds. If this is the bigger retailers telling me this (going from yesterdays email that was posted) then how are ocuk getting more si stock than retail? Its worth considering that si stock normally means boxless and this is the issue somewhere else had when they sold evga si cards as retail and they got damaged in transit. OC offer the boxes for all components in a pre-build

I'm out of this farce now but i still kind of want to see how this all pans out lol. Something isnt right here.

I was 500+ in the eagle queue and had a code on my order. I've cancelled and so have many others which means there are potentially a lot floating around. IDK if oc are sending watchdogs codes with orders that didn't have them listed but with them expiring soon i'd hope oc will use those codes with stock they send and change anybody with a code on their order to cod instead. Wishful thinking but they should really be making sure their customers dont go without.

actually my zotac i'm currently running is OC version and clocks quite well tbh although i've put no effort into silly unstable over clocks. a non oc version isn't going to reach even oc clocks (assuming binning) so the oc is still more appealling if you want that tiny bit of performance.

How many people would buy a B grade card if the oc became normal and non oc became B grade lol. Thats effectivily how its working right now. Later down the line will be different but now if you have a non oc card then its more than likely sub par. I'd be happy to be stuck waiting for a non oc card tbh the way things are at this moment.
It's a graphics card mate. I'm not arsed anymore. After watching what is happening in Vienna, Paris.... The States and Covid..it pales into " it comes when it comes"... That doesn't mean I'm not excited for when it finally arrives mind you :)

Sooooo, i definitely wish i had seen there was an OC forum before i went and bought an ASUS TUF non oc last week (first time pc builder, first time using oc.. noob) ......... position as of 6 days ago 2111. I think its time to cancel, and chance my luck somewhere else, becuase it would be nice to have a pc sometime before the year 2111 lol

Depreciation.

M5 will be hit a lot harder than the M5.
Owner of Autobrite went from an M5 think AWD model to the 992 4S and he says the 4S is far more a sports car and feels more special than M5.

Both are silly fast, I'd say you really cannot go wrong with either and if the value in 2-3yr is a consideration I'd say the 911 will hold its value better than an M5.

My 3080 is losing value everyday, can you please update us in the EVGA queue.

if you can justify the cost of a 3090 there are quite a few of them around at the moment on other sites. 3080’s are still quite rare everywhere

As an Eagle buyer (lol ironic) too I second what @TAC4U says about the appalling lack of communication this company has exhibited. Especially with Eagle orders that have been confirmed by Gigabyte themselves and ignored completely by OCuk.
I never wanted much, just a small bit of information about delayed or missing orders.

I used to recommend OCUK to anyone looking to buy hardware or prebuilds. No more.
As I am sub 100 in the queue I'll attempt to hold on for a couple more months but once this order has been fulfilled I will never be buying from this company again.

I'm sure there are droves of others with the exact same ultimatum and sentiments.

Pretty similar to me to be honest. I ordered a 3080 Eagle from OcUK, was originally about 129 in the queue so I was hopeful of getting one in reasonable time.

But so far there's been hardly any sent out by OcUK. I'm sure it's not all their fault, but the lack of proper communication, the full up-front payment and the plain lying about their purchasing power and relationship with distributors and manufacturers has left me with a terrible taste and I'll be avoiding OcUK in future unless they're by far the cheapest option in future - which is unlikely.

I'll be ordering an AMD 6800XT on release day from somewhere else. I don't even care if it takes even longer to get a graphics card for my semi-complete build anymore. Between Gigabyte, NVidia and OcUK this has been attrocious and I'll adjust my future purchases accordingly.

Hopefully @GIGA-Man will be here soon to give us some solid info on the Eagles as @Gibbo seems incapable of even an appology for promising cards last week that still havn't arrived a week later.
