*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

I just installed Telegram, and joined the NowInStock channel (US) to get alerts. I figure why not try to hunt while having my OcUK order as back up. It seems to be working for everyone else.

Joining stuff like that is what helped me snag the 3080 FE. Highly recommend. Theres so many different cards popping up

@Gibbo So where is the card, card no 4 you checked in ?

oh and just to kick me in the teeth proper, here is where you bumped me back in the queue for someone else who got confirmation of the card being sent ( no grudge for the guy)

So tell me you have not truly scr*wed me over.

go on mate, tell me about this , explain it to an idiot like me, cause frankly i dont understand

@Gibbo
Where is the 4th card ?
what happened to the other 6 ?
Why are people being queue jumped ?

When is there going to be updates on the Asus 3080 TUF non-oc? i've had mine ordered since like 15minutes after the release of the gpu.
I've been from 43rd, 42nd, 41st and now 39th. it's been almost 2 months.

Seen Asus now being quoted as saying 6900XT supply will be as bad but (as still only 831 in the TUF queue) I'm wondering if there is just something seriously fubar at Asus full stop. If it wasn't for having a Gsync Ultimate monitor I'd move to a 6900 but it wouldn't be with Asus for sure....

Essentially got a 3070 from the now clearly elite, superior even, UK competitior. Is that too much hinting? The whole process that the competitor played a role in were flawless and smooth and ended with a card coming to me next working day with no extra cost unlike Ocuk.

Im still waiting on my inno3d x3 3080 and am now 18th in the queue from 31st with 0 orders shipped after almost two months. I am going to stay waiting if not out of spite, to see the ongoing communication situation or lack there of from OC.
Excited to switch from my 1050 which was just a placeholder for my 3080 though am fairly sure that may be arriving around jan so the 3070 will get some good use before it goes to a mate for 200, no scalping here!

The term scalping is just used by jealous people who think they have a better reason to own something. The main reason for them is profit just like every other retailer. I was fortunate to get a 3070 on release day but once I get a 3080 I will be selling my 3070 for (hopefully) profit. I'm not wasteful. Losing £300 to a friend doesn't make you a good person. You just value that friendship more than you should.

I reckon the problem is that on the order form, Gibbo misspelled “non”.

Asus have loads of non OC cards, but Gibbo’s order form is requesting “none”, therefore they are sending none.

Don't think you're going to be able to turn around a £300 profit lol. Profits seemingly mostly existing for 3080. Even yesterday the founders edition for 3070 and 3090 was readily available to buy for next day delivery for an absolute age. You didn't need to be fastest finger first to get one. You could rock up 10s of minutes later and still grab one of you wanted. If someone really really wanted one, they could've got one.

Actually the rep he sent the order to was french and read "non" as just 'no".

"No asus TUFs please."

If you are buying a product solely to resell in the short term without adding any additional value such as modification, repair, parting out, convenient distribution, remarketing, etc... That's scalping.

In a world where we allow companies to fix prices at the lower limit under threat of no longer supplying product, we shouldn't tolerate an uncapped upper price on product that is still being produced.

As anyone on here seen a Rog Strix OC or are they just vaperware? Been waiting, still waiting, waiting forever. I get the feeling they're being made in a paddy field from exquisitely crafted bits of rice
