Yeah, When you read " we have 30 MSI 3080's tommorow", and theres thousands in the queue, doesnt give you any confidence of getting you card any time soon, Still think they should only be sold when in stock

Its a way of locking people into buying from them and not a competitor. Not many people can afford to pre-order here as well as other places due to OCUK taking the money upfront. Its a s****y practice but business is business I guess.

I managed to snag a 3090 from Nvidia on Thursday which comes on Monday. I only want a 3080 so when my x trio comes (185 in queue) ill sell the 3090 to a friend thats after one (for cost!)
 
As another call out to people, I'm trying to collect data on people's queue positions and cards, mostly just because I find it interesting, but also it might help us answer questions like "what is the best card to order now", "how bad is the queue for this card if I order now" and "my queue position seems wrong, is it" that are being asked every few posts. (and hey, maybe we'll get lucky and we'll get to a point we can better estimate shipping rates after a few queue updates or something. Who knows)

So, if you'd like to contribute to the data set, there is a form here that will add it to the google docs spreadsheet, which you can view here. If we don't get enough data I'm talking myself into sprending tomorrow evening trawling back through the last couple of days of posts while finishing off a nice bottle of Whiskey, so your help could save me from that! ;)

Hmm. The "Internet Reference" one that starts with an OC? Really home we haven't rolled over to OC5xxxxxx numbers, because then I have no way to use the value limits to make sure people can only use the appropriate ones.

I guess the question is if @Cambo is a Zotac Trinity like you, or mis-selected and is actually a Zotac Trinity OC, in which case his number would fit with the little other data we have collected so far.
 
I have two on order, gigabyte eagle with a position of 731 and palit gaming oc with a position of 61. I think its safe to assume one can be cancelled, right? Even if palit may or may not be sending out less than gigabyte.

Gaming X Trio or Ventus?

Gaming X Trio we heard from customer service that they had 5 delivered in the first batch on the 18th (second hand from customer service), then another 30 in the second certain batch on the 29th (directly from @Gibbo). Don't think we've heard specifics on quantities of Ventus cards (though I'm in the Trio queue, so maybe I just didn't notice), but there was at least one other MSI delivery mentioned in the update thread, and I think I remember people mentioning Ventuses (Ventii?) getting shipping notifications then.

So, hopefully at 29th the next shipments will be 30ish or more like the most recent one, so you'll get in there?

Once the holidays are over, production should pick up i guess. Maybe give ot till end of month for deliveries to be on top of pre orders

That’s the plan. See where we are the end of the month, and go from there. Hopefully things are looking a lot better than expected :p

Ah it's a Ventus I'm after, I have seen those trio shipments come in but it seemed quiet on the Ventus front. If people are getting them shipped though maybe they're slipping under Gibbo's radar. Cheers for sorting that new datasheet btw I've added my data.
