*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Differences you will be hard pushed to notice in game unless one of the idiots who has to have FPS displayed at all times just for bragging rights.:)

I totally agree m8. Although you will need to go AMD if you want to play around with SMA. When Ampere release their cloned version it will be open to all CPUs.

Oh and I play Rust. It always has the FPS in the corner. lol

It's been 2 months and 1 day. I finally can say I snagged the 3070 FE elsewhere... I just cannot give anymore of my life to this pain. Will most likely sell next year and decide out of everything what I should go for... but for now... My watch has ended.

Good day. Good luck.

Same as me; got a 3070 FE from elsewhere today just to get me away from the constant checking and disappointment of no updates (TUF 3080 Non OC). Am upgrading from a 980TI so the gains will be huge anyway; will decide what to do going forward whenever the TUF arrives.

true, depends from reviewer, game and place in game where it was benchmarked, look e.g valhalla where 6800xt is better than 3090

So the AMD cards launched today at 2pm, and in the mad scramble to buy them before we even had reviews people became distracted, and some madlad competitors released new 3080 stock at the exact same time which I may or may not have acquired :)
Caught them off guard for a min! Nice one, hope you got what you were after! :p

I would personally stick to the strix. I think the Aorus is another one with all sp-cap's. Once they fix the stability issue and un-nerf the driver again it might not boost as high as other all MLCC array cards like the STRIX.

I had an Aorus Master briefly and when ran on original drivers, it did indeed have the occasional crash to desktop once hitting 2100+

My TUF non-OC and FE both hit 2100 stable. Says a lot about the £200-300 price difference...

I usually have performance stats enabled in games but it's more for ping so I know when I can genuinely blame lag, but in most games it's a both-or-neither kind of situation. I don't mind seeing a nice stable 144 (or 143 in games that round down) though :P

(and I'm interested to see how high I go when I get a 240hz monitor in black friday sale)

Why there was more than one retailer that dropped about 8 different cards today that appeared with a buy button for at least 2 hrs? I saw nothing on telegram or discord other than them. Happened around 2pm.

Did you try it? If you hit that buy button after about 30 seconds...you got nowhere except in a queue that never reached the basket.

Yeah sensible move tbh, the 3070 will be ample til all this mess passes.

Yeah I tried, that's what happened me too.

My post has a typo so it isn't clear what I was saying. Someone else had said that another retailer had multiple cards for hours today - but I didn't get any notifications other than for that one place. I was trying to work out if we were talking about the same retailer, which I think we were. My point was they weren't available for hours despite the green button being displayed. They were all in basket after a few mins.

Ordered a Palit from the competitor today. Was showing in stock at the time. Paid with amazon pay, and think that may have tripped me up, as got an email this evening, I've found myself in another queue. Position 32, disappointing, but 30 times lower than my position for the Tuf non oc here. Hopefully I'll have it in the next few weeks.

Not bothered about the cooling etc as planning on slapping an EK block on it.

Im very tempted to get a 4k HDR 144Ghz G-Sync

I've no idea where these 'huge stock' levels 'available for hours' were today. I follow PartAlert on Twitter and StockDrops on Discord and all I saw today was Palit cards and MSI Gaming X, the MSI card my have been showing as available for a few hours, but it wasn't, it was in someone else basket all afternoon.

I saw the 3070/3090 FE's pop up on **** again, same as yesterday, but still no 3080's.

Might wanna remove that cometitors name (I have, don't want a ban) just as an FYI
