I've been following twitter alerts for a few weeks. Had a few chances of zotac, palit and gigabyte eagles but I was wanting a strix oc or an aorus so I passed on those. By chance I went on the biggest online retailers website tonight just for a browse and I managed to get an aorus extreme. Its a great feeling to be able to cancel my order here. Hopefully you all get your cards soon
Looks really nice that one, decently priced as well with backplate.
One of the things which has raised a wry smile over the past few days is the people here salivating over the prospect of the RTX3080Ti as some kind of a panacea for the RTX3080 ills.
Oh, they sya, it'll cost an estimated £1000, makes me laugh. The RTX3080 costs £650 - try buying one for that! The current rumours show basically an RTX3090 with 20GB RAM instead of 24GB and as we all know the RTX3090 barely manages 10% more speed for all that extra cost. The 3090 also has a 384 bit memory bus and the 3080Ti sticks with the same 320 bit as the 3080.
Those who got in early and bought before the price hikes can't seriously consider the proposed / rumoured new card seriously unless they are a bit loopy! Based on how much over the launch RRP 3080 is, they've got to be looking at £1200 at least for a card which probably won't manage more than 7% on the 3080, if they're lucky. No one would in normal circumstances buy something like this because it represents appalling value for money.

That just ridiculous we ordered 2 months ago! Ocuk can’t even guarantee we will get it this year. More evidence that there stock is going into pre-builds they have already proven they don’t care about the customers they have already there focused on getting new customers and taking advantage of the stock situation to force people to buy pre-buildsI just received an email from Overclockers advertising "Elite Tier Custom Built Gaming PCs - Order before 30th November for Christmas delivery" How can they guarantee that when they can't even supply the 7,000 pre ordered RTX 30x0 cards they already have on order ? Don't start the "But they have seperate SI stock gibberish, we all know they're using retail boxed cards", the numbers coming in don't match the numbers being sent out, hence the silence from Gibbo of late.https://imgur.com/ury1SLT

Nothing from ocuk but there competitors have been receiving them and some have had them in stock for next day delivery!
(Edit) they were also cheaper then ocuk
so frustrating i saved and saved to be told February ish but i dont have nowhere near the money to buy another and cancel...
Absolutely love another week of awful communication from the joke of a guy who runs this company. 2 months has passed, we understand that shipments aren't arriving everyday but it would be nice if we received some sort of information every few days. Other competitors (you know who I mean) are making OCUK look like an absolute joke by providing information to their customers.
I am a student that has saved up for over a year for a new GPU and I managed to get one (I mean pay for one) just an hour after release, I study game development and need the card for my work... I have been waiting patiently and not complaining but come one... this is ridiculous!! Others have had the opportunity to cancel with OCUK and go with other competitors but people like me simply don't have the money and are left sat in the dark.
This will be the last purchase I make with this company. Many people have been complaining and they have simply been ignored, they're making no attempts to better the situation.

It sucks im in the same boat as you and just so frustrating as ocuk are not communicating and they sending emails out if you order a pre-built with a rtx 3080 before 30th November they will guarantee delivery before Christmas
i wouldnt even care if its bad ish news just something. we all know they see the forums as gibbo was commenting on it today why not just one update
