*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Is it just me or is Germany getting boatloads of cards it seems.
I can agree, my 3080 will be my 4th Palit card and I have yet to have a bad experience. Dont know why some people see them as a bad brand.

people don't seem to get that reference PCB = 'minimum certified by nvidia' and assume it means 'absolute bare minimum holding itself together with hopes dreams and duct tape'. So all the reference PCBs get crapped on for having 'minimum' quality parts when it's fine, they're just spec and the others charge more for higher spec.

There were stock alerts in the US for them today. No idea on numbers though :(

I'm starting to think that my sub 40 queue place won't see any joy until Feb - I was quietly optimistic about a Nov delivery last month but Asus have come out with their marketing nonsense then completely dried up

The US is the only place being supplied with them right now. The initial run that was allocated to each country went mostly to reviewers/influencers.

Sorry but I should have been clearer, I didn't have a pre-order here at all. I found my card at another site that was mentioned the day of the 6000 "release"
I also got an Aorus Master 3080 from another supplier on Wednesday (maybe the same?). It was almost like they dropped this massive pallet of "tuti-frutti" RTX 3000 cards that they were hoarding, whilst everyone else was busy looking for the RX 6000.
Just got it delivered a couple hours ago. Now just waiting on my case to arrive on Monday so that I can test everything works before leaving that soul-destroying queue for the Strix 3080 non-oc.
I was in the 130-ish position so hopefully that'll help a lot of you get there faster!

I was told to phone and cancel due to the webnotes taking so long. I was in a queue for over 50 mins and then spoke to someone for about 10 mins and got charged almost 12 quid!

I complained to ocuk about this and this is the snarky reply i got this morning...
"A phone cannot tell the difference between somebody waiting in a queue, or speaking to an advisor - it's not intelligent enough to make that distinction. A call is a call as far as it's concerned.

Regards,

Liam F"

Next time i have to complain to ocuk i will be going there in person to see if they want to be that snarky to my face.
I'm supprised it wasn't signed Liam FU just to cap it off.

I wish Gibbo or @ASUS GPU Support would give us something on the status of the 3080 Strix OC. There has been nothing for weeks now. The ASUS Rep has stated they've given a schedule weeks in advances. I'm aware things can change and be delayed especially with the current global situation and it coming towards a busy festive period of shipping but small batches were coming in weekly and now nothing. Nothing coming in and no updates. This is in stark contrast to "things will improve in November".

It also doesn't justify why ASUS are sending far more cards to certain EU Suppliers and being called out by OC for doing so. If OC has the info then share it, if it changes or is delayed then just update and if its with distro then pressure them as you've had confirmation from the AIB that they have this info.
Agree, I would love something, the tiniest bit of communication, anything. It seems I have got so close to the front of the queue now and everything has ground to a halt. If I wasn't so close I would have cancelled way before now.

LOL

Thats the whole vibe i got from it anyways... Liam F is a cheeky little snot who i know would not talk to me like that to my face.
Bad staff = Bad service = Bad business who will never get another penny from me and i defo will not recommend them to others like i have done for the last 10 odd years!

Well.... No new updates, and the information being given now is scarce and very far and few between. Haven't even received my Que position update which seems to not matter as OCUK are just not getting Asus cards. Waiting on the rog strix 3080 OC.

Thought I'd treat myself this launch with a complete new build and spent £3,989 (haven't done a major rebuild since the 980TI) but it looks like I will not be gaming on my new system this side of Christmas. I'm half tempted to just cancel my order, get my money back and go elsewhere as other places seems to be getting stock very often... I don't fancy paying scalper tax but after this long a wait I am half tempted, because clearly OCUK don't want my money????
