*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Seems to me the purchasing department at OC'ers are doing a bad job compared to competitors. Compare queue movements here to the amount the competition have announced they are shipping each week. Not to mention most the queue movement here is cancellations

Fully agree but people will still defend oc to the grave . 'stocks bad in Europe ' 'nvidia ain't doing a good job ' evidently it's just oc being incompetent or wanting the msrp's out the door

OC haven't fulfilled that many more than 540 in total in over 9 weeks. Think they have only sent out over 100 in a week once, while others send out 540 in a bad week. Sums it up really. OC have secured little stock, what they did secure , half went missing out of the back door.
Incompetent and dishonest retailer selling cards made my dishonest manufacturer. Not a good recipe is it.
Probably take them another 9 weeks to even equal that mate lmfao . But in all seriousness it's a joke

I've been watching Playstation and Xbox closely aswell and they both only supplied enough to supply preorders and now they are scarce. The thing I'm not understanding is, it's not like they need to drive up demand... So what is it? NVIDIA, AMD, Microsoft and Sony have had months if not years to ensure manufacturing of their products in time.

It annoys me that these companies are providing to influencers. I saw MSI__UK twitter had a retweet from someone thanking them for a 3080 last week. 'Sponsored' - for free obviously. When people like us have paid and waited for months. It really is a sad society we live in with this 'so-called' influencer epidemic. I think that and I'm only 28. Social media has gone mad. Went off topic a bit there

It's the people who watch them who are to blame. They are marketeers who are tasked with hyping new products for the most part. The more you hype and shill, the more support you get from the industry and the more followers you get. Vast majority of tech tubers are not worth listening to, but most people who are in these queues sadly still do.

You had Bitwit the twit (to be polite) shilling the new MSI card today, the supreme or whatever it is. No thought whatsoever that this card is a blatant price hike and a slap in the face for those who have been waiting for months for the MSI cards. No thought that the chips MSI are getting will be geared even less to those waiting. But the masses of well-trained consumers keeping watching a liking them videos, what a shame that humanity has become so suggestable and so easy to market to.

Genuinely wouldn't be surprised to see cards like asus tuf, gigabyte eagle and other lower end cards being canned and replaced with higher end cards very soon, leaving many thousands of us with nothing. For the majority though, they will watch the marketing, like them jayz vids and continue to empower what has become a pretty anti-consumer industry to get even worse. Really sad state of affairs.

Watch "the social dilema" it will open your eyes.

The funny thing is - if you look at the AMD card thread, Gibbo and other staff are interacting, explaining, answering questions and being praised for transparency.

It kinda feels like we're the drug addled child from a previous marriage that isn't invited to family gatherings :D

funniest comment I have read in a while I would buy you a virtual beer :p

Big fan of the people who kept faith with their Asus non OC pre order because they locked it in at a decent price, sitting 500+ in the queue, refusing to look elsewhere to grab a 3080.

Thank you ;) Thing is what other choices do I have, I could cancel of course and end up paying an extra 30%+ more If I'm lucky enough to find one, I do not have all day to keep chasing GPUs. What I would like now is an FE because I can leave OcUK behind me so I will try to get one. Wish me luck!!

Oh yeah, I'm currently 592 on the list as of yesterday.

I don't quite fall into the 500+ bracket (I'm 139), the only thing stopping me from jumping ship is the price hike :/

What do you want? People complaining OC aren't talking to them, then people complain OC are talking to them?

I aint an OC fan by any stretch I too feel completely **** on by them and I have genuine reasons for needing a card sooner not later related to my health. But come on, what do you want? They are dammed if they do and dammed if they don't.

The problems i have had with ocuk has nothing to do with Nividas stock levels and all to do with bad training of staff what leads to bad treatment of customers. Ocuk just dont care unless it makes them more profit.
They will never get another penny from me.

I have also today managed to order a ASUS TUF GAMING RTX 3080 10GB with a Ryzen 7 cpu from a different UK company what will be delivered by Dec 3rd.

Was that a bundle?

I have pre-ordered a TUF OC and with any third party website any cards are always gone. I have all the parts for a new build apart from the GPU, I bought a 1060 off eBay for under a £100 to just get the new build done. For my opinion I think it is what it is at least eventually you will get your card, if like me get something to do you in the mean time. It won’t be like this forever if your not happy you can get a quick refund the world has not ended

It's interesting. My neighbour is telling me he ordered some bike part in August that should have got here in September, but is stuck in transit. Meanwhile his work (dealing with HP products in some way) cannot get their stuff imported either, and are trying to reroute via Rotterdam. He says getting stuff across the channel is the hard part.

I cannot blame a single shop, given that this importing problem spans much more than just graphics cards. I mean; watch the news! Supermarkets are even starting to struggle getting bread flour imported now.

Seems to me you just didn't get the joke. It really was a good joke if you think it through for a bit.

Yes I think it’s a graphics card there are loads of older class cards at great prices if you don’t have one. I’m in the queue to get a card that will probably last my at least four to five years if I have wait a few months it’s not the end of the world. Considering we’re we are with everything going on. People need to get a bit of perspective in the grand scheme of life. It’s not like they won’t give you your money back

I'm really easy up either way chum - I'm trying to make light of a bad situation. Just think it's interesting they're actually referencing 3080 supply issues in the AMD thread when people are crying out for more info here

I don’t understand what info people need, supplies are short on most products. I tried to get a Corsair RM 850x for weeks and most suppliers were out of stock and the price went up a bit. But that’s the power supply I wanted for my new build so I sucked it up waited until there was some decent supply of them and payed a bit more deal done. It’s not like the internet is not full of tons of decent cards if you don’t have a GPU. If you do have one do what my two mates are doing who have 1070 TI’s pre-order or wait a few months what’s the big deal really when people are losing their jobs or dying?

You have a choice of other PSU's that are equally capable or better. Last time I checked 2080ti's are still more expensive than a 3080, so only an idiot would buy one right now. Anything weaker doesn't meet my non gaming needs unfortunately. If my 1080 was cutting it for work, I wouldn't be upgrading at all. We are also talking about bleeding edge tech here that doesn't stay bleeding edge for very long. I mean my 7 year old Supernova 1000w is probably just as capable as the PSU your buying now. They date well compared to Graphics cards. And it's looking like some day one 3080 orders could wait 4 months or more to get their cards. Its looking like some of us will probably not get them until well after the 3080ti launches.

Most people are intelligent enough to take into account the international situation - but 3080's are not in a normal situation even with that taken into account. 3070's are coming in at a much more normal rate, gigabyte have a substantial amount of 3070's on the way according the aorus twitter feed - and they launched much later than 3080's...there has never been a substantial amount of any 3080. The last 2 FE drops in the UK were just 70's and 90's... again no 80's.

Why are 3070's not so affected by PPE blocking the ports? Why are 3070's not so affected by social distancing measures at OC? The consoles might have run out of stock too, but not before they sold millions of units. Why no supply problems at Apple? What makes 3080's so special? Will I even get my launch day order before such time I can just walk into a shop and lift a refreshed or improved variant straight from the shelf? I think that's the sort of things people want to know.

percept I think you need to catch yourself on. I built a PC for my son last Christmas with a 5700xt that was £380 quid and is still find. I have the power supply as an example, that stock on all things not just tech is slow at the minute. I think you need to get some realism it’s a graphics card which took a few years to design get your money back and wait for a 3080 TI any rational person person would think your full of ****
