*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Do I think those who are position 10 or less in the queues should hold, well my advise is that 3080's are unlikely to ship now so its not good, but if I was 10 or less in a queue and did not need the money I'd probably leave my order in just in case a miracle happens, but now it really would be a miracle I am afraid and with the state of supply at present I don't see any miracles happening.

Can I ask you to elaborate on what you mean by '3080s are unlikely to ship now'?

Do you just mean that shipments of 3080s are thin on the ground for the foreseeable future (because apparently nvidia are waiting for the post-crypto used market to dry up), or do you mean the [non-LHR] 3080 lines are becoming EOL and not going to be shipped at all?

They are becoming EOL and the supply is EXTREMELY thin on the ground, hence its extremely unlikely.

I read also that Nvidia were stopping production totally during July and August due to the crypto crash m8, might be something in it.
We were definitely warned that supply was going to be, as Gibbo says, extremely thin on everything above 3060Ti, for the next few weeks. That's actually a LOT of information by Nvidia standards.

Feel sorry for the ones still waiting after 10 months, I got my one after 2 months waiting inline, had to swap from an ASUS tuf to a PNY but I had to pay £60 more. I have used the card up until June when I bagged a ASUS 3070 for £640 and then sold my PNY 3080 for £1550 and made a profit of over £800. Since then prices are dropping. I since then bought a 3080 founders edition in mid July and sold the asus 3070 to a friend for cost price, if you look around you can grab 3080s with a slight premium

I see, thank you; so the day of LHR reckoning is coming. Good luck with how you handle it, and my eyes will be on my inbox.

LHR versions are also extremely thin on the ground, production is been shifted heavily into 3060/3060Ti segment as this is where the majority of SI demand also lies, on the flip side we are hopeful for next month to maybe get some good deals on the 3060 series. :)

Just had a look at the email. Whilst I’m appreciative that OCUK are providing options, it isn’t really feasible for me.

I’m in the queue for the 3080 Eagle OC and paid £650 for mine on release day. My options are:

  1. I can pay £40 extra for a 3070TI instead, with invariably worse overall performance by comparison.
  2. Pay another £730 for a card with marginally improved specs.
  3. Hold out and hope that supply gets better.
Ultimately, I know that this isn’t the fault of OCUK and relates to the inability of Nvidia and Gigabyte to get stock to customers at reasonable prices. However, despite OCUK doing what they can, I’m probably going to stick with option 3. I neither want worse performance or to fork out more than double what I originally paid for my card.
Probably worth getting the 3070 Ti for an extra £40

So what would the wait time be on the 3070/3080ti deals for the people who have been waiting 10 months already ? I would definitely be i interested though as it was my sons christmas present for last year .

Those who have back orders with us will be getting emails over the next few days and as more stock lands on 3070Ti and 3080Ti more back orders will be emailed with options to change.

Were not taking fresh orders at discounted prices, but people can buy online now at market competitive prices.

Since then prices are dropping
It's actually interesting this. On the surface it might seem like prices are dropping but in fact they aren't. They're just settling down.
As a product manager, where possible, we have to price products ahead of trends in case we oversell and lose money (this launch really burned us on that). Therefore, when prices are going up 5-10% every drop we have to plan a couple of drops ahead and price based on what we expect the card to cost next month, for example. These "safety" prices are often very inflated.

Most cards are actually still going up in price but the jumps are now related to changes in exchange rate/shipping, which are a lot less severe and more predictable. Therefore, resellers are now able to price their cards based on the current price rather than a predicted, higher one. I did not see any price drops when doing POs for Gibbo last week. There might be the odd one but I'm not aware of them.

We're working through back orders but for obvious reasons we're prioritising the longest/oldest queues. We're doing them in batches so as to not overwhelm out support staff.

Thanks for all the good work and updates, least have some idea what could be happening now

So you would have to pay in total £1330 for the 3080Ti & that is meant to be a discount? I was hoping we would at least get it for £1050 MSRP since the Ti is already overpriced. Still to get my email though.

I am 27 in the queue for the 3080 ASUS strixx
Let say I do want to take up the offer of a discounted 3070ti, does that price include the tax?

the card I paid for cost around about £730 on launch but jumped to £880 with tax

or should I just wait it out?
