*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Guess the free upgrade days are over, was surprised to see none eagle Gigabyte 3080 cards in stock :( . so they can be bought just not at a price you would let people who have waited a year have one!

Only bitter been <10 in the queue for an eternity and watched others get upgraded only for it to stop as I got into touching distance!
Did you contact cs through the forums?

Hi all.

I'm currently 300+ in the queue for the ASUS TUF non OC

I've been debating lately whether i should cancel and just get the 6800XT for a little more money instead. I'm still undecided but wondered if anyone had any thoughts.

Thanks
I'd go for a 6800XT over a 3070/ti unless RT is a must have.

One less in the Tuff 3080 non OC queue, was a day 1 order, snagged a 3080Ti FE, i think having a 3840 x 1600 screen helped me justify the extra cost, good luck everyone.

Thanks man, hopefully my old psu can hold up if not I will just have to go buy a new one, was looking at a Seasonic Prime PX 850, seems like a good option if I need it
what is your old psu, ie make and wattage? I have a 5900x and a tuf 3080oc and my psu is an evga platinum 850 watt and all is OK I do undervolt cpu and gpu a little as heard too many stories of votage/current spikes! just to be on the safe side, I should imagine your 3080ti is going to pull even more so get the best psu you can:p! really happy you've got sorted at last it's been an age:D

also remember that if you change your psu you may need to change your cables as the pin outs vary from psu model to model, ie evga cables are different to seasonic cables. meaning more money!

I’m running a 750W G2  But I checked and I’m just about fine with my current setup as it’s only a 3700X but I will just do a test and see if it does shut off ah well I can order my psu then

flJufJA.jpg GPU went in nicely, quick before and after and nothing went wrong, also ignore my bad cable management I didn't have any extra cable combs, think I lost em :(. Did a full stress test with AIDA64 and only thing that happened was ICUE having a fit cause the cpu was at full throttle
