I don;t think people who got their card are in the queue

Does the unofficial queue calculator know which orders have been fulfilled? if it's based on user input, then if everyone put their order info in, but never mentioned they received it, then it'll still be in the queue...

I am talking about the official queue ofc, that will be sent today

Secondly, I've been involved with OCUK for many many years, as a paying customer, forum user and in more recent times, a moderator. I have a good idea on how they work and their ethos, I know many of the staff, so yes I'm 100% confident that they aren't dealing falsely with anyone :)

For info: Ordered the ROG Strix 3080 (not the OC) on 17th @ 15:09:00 and just had the OcUK email saying that I'm #54 in the queue. No indication as to how long until dispatch though so who knows.

I wasn't telling you to do anything. Please re read my post. I can see it can be read that way though.

You can try to assure but you can't control if someone is assured. And it isn't on you to defend anyone though you obviously can if you want to. I didn't say "just do your moderation", I said "just to do". You're a moderator not a defender of the company! :)

You're not the only one who has been around a long time though granted I'm not anywhere near as involved. Dealing falsely? Perhaps not, but I'm not so sure about being open and/or honest either.

I've moderated elsewhere in the past, I'm well aware of the potential for frustration. Not here to tell you what to do.

It's a weird thing to say though, especially as the mods have been saying all the way along they're nothing to do with the shop. You can't have your cake and eat it.
None of us can say why it happened, people can't say it 100% was some nefarious evil plot to give it to those who paid more but you have no information either to say it was 100% a simple, innocent mistake. Well, you CAN, but it doesn't mean anything.

The only people who can say what happened are OCUK.

Not that it matters now anyway. The guy got his card, not like OCUK are going to go round and collect it and hand it to the rightful heir of the queue.
 
I'm just waiting patiently for my Zotac Trinity... I'm using my backup GTX 770 that was sat in a box for ages since my old card died. I can barely play the games I love on this card, it's soul destroying.

I placed my order on the day of release, only 40 minutes after they went live, but I didn't get the confirmation email until about 6 hours later. Still, I'd hope I'm fairly low in the queue.

I've got my new 1440p 144hz monitor running, I was hoping that while I wait for the 3080, i could make the universe help me out by buying a fancy monitor. It doesn't seem to have worked.

What happened to those queue position emails they were expecting to send out? Unofficial queue position is in the low 30s.

I ordered a Zotac Trinity at 14:04 and got the payment confirmation at 14:04:37. No email, but my unofficial queue number was 4.
 
Don't understand why the Gigabyte Aorus thread got closed. We were getting some really useful small updates from the Gigabyte rep in there!

To my fellow Aorus Master Pre-order Friends. Happy Master Launch date! May the first batches be within our palms soon!

It happened to one person only, but it's another small issue that piles up on top of the queue system that took THREE BLOODY WEEKS to just start;
after customer service allowed people to swap cards even though Gibbo said on these forums that the only way to change card was to cancel the preorders and get to the back of the queue;
after customer service said that only people who ordered EVGA were allowed to swap but we have seen people allowed to swap and keep positions from MSI to Palit;
after EVGA official words contradict OCuk statement that EVGA is serving only USA;
after Gibbo's communication don't even include the whole stock they are shipping, according to the users who do receive their cards;

You know, it might have happened to a single person, but being piled up on top of the rest it suddenly becomes A THING. And as such the company better address it.

And stop with the condescending emoji, man.
