*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

*An OK amount of Palit 3080 and 3090 Gaming Pro / Gaming Pro OC are due with OcUK this Wednesday.*

probably gonna be 25 cards and me being 26

They have said they are making them all equally. I’m starting to wonder if that’s the truth, but if it’s not then that’ll look terrible for ASUS as it’ll start to become an obvious lie.
I have seen some non oc TUFs on Reddit etc though.

My guess (based on what I’ve seen) is that they’re making them at a 1:10 ratio, so only 10% are the non-OC version. I regret ordering the non-OC version.

Also just seen this news. Not in production of the strix 3080 non oc. Or the 3090 at all. Massively disappointing.. what are we now supposed to do? 59th or whatever in the queue for what essentially is a unicorn.. just aswell go hunting for the godzilla.

Worth noting that ASUS post pretty clearly said multiple times the info was relevant to NA only. It's worth reaching out to ASUS EU for some updates on our side.

Zotac Amp Halo should get a release date soon, They updated the Boost clock info... Only 1770MHz

that was part of the reason I decided to get my trinity oc card I couldn’t see the point in the extra money for a premium card this generation the gpu die is already close to its limit and no real head room left.

the trinity oc keeps cool around 68degress for me with a overclock of 98mhz I couldn’t see the top cards doing much more :(

while true, i'd imagine all the cards are produced in the same location. So if they're not in production.... where you are won't matter.

That's true, and means the cards not listed are probably not in production.

What's yet to be seen is the distribution of the remaining cards. It's possible the US is hogging all of certain SKUs so the rest of the world might only be getting TUF OC for example, wouldn't be the first time.

does anyone know why OCUK are still taking preorders and every other retailer out there are NOT taking no preorders?

Its either OC have a trick up their sleeve and will surprise their 6000+ pre order customers in the next 60 days

Maybe they will get a special shipping container full of 30 series cards, i can remember when PS3 and PS4 shipping containers were delivered to retailers under police escort

OCUK will get shipping containers delivered to them under armed guard, im sure of it

Also when the latest iPhone and Samsung phones have also had private mercenaries providing security to get delivered safely

he he he

Because it still makes business sense to. A lot of people will be first time buyers on OC. If only half of the people cancelling pre orders do, that's still a lot of sales from already paid for cards. It will annoy a lot of new customers but if they were new anyway it's still sales.

This absolutely sucks. I’m 24th in the queue for the non-OC Strix and I’m probably not gonna get one this year. Why was this card even listed on the 17th if the card isn’t even in production? I totally regret ordering the non-OC version but I have no choice but to stick with it at this point. Cheers ASUS.
