*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Just wanted to raise something I found quite amusing.

Check OCUK on Trustpilot right now and it's endless 1* ratings from people like us, mad at no communication about delays etc.

Check a popular unnamed competitor and it's a sea of five-star ratings, despite the exact same issues.

This is the difference communication makes to a customers happiness.
I have been saying this in this forum, OcUK are being silly with the lack of updates and the appearance to be “hiding” behind NDA chatter. Reality is it won’t make a huge amount of difference long term if we don’t vote with our feet after this is over. I applaud some of the work the competitors are putting in to provide a 5 minutes narrative that ensures clarity and reassurance that customers have the latest info. Let’s see what happens.

TUF is the most wanted card so no wonder there is so many cancellations. People starting to be fed up

Must be all cancellations cause My number 188 went down to 187 since last Thursdays email. 1 place indicates no deliveries for the people in front of me who are all holding out like me except one person who gave up. That is unless ASUS sent a shipment of (one) to OKUK

My Eagle number went down nearly 40 places since the last queue update which is nice, but i did the math and it seems that it will take 7-7.5 months at this current rate of stock for me to receive it. I think i will wait first for Gigabytes next shipment since they said stock will be behind until 2 more weeks and see how far the queue updates then. 7 months is a little too much for me to wait for an Eagle card but i hope production in october and november will ramp up and bring better figures or i might have to get a 3090 for my new build.

I'm a bit miffed that no one in the Gigabyte Gaming OC queue got an update email last week when there was supposedly a shipment and no reports of getting one today either.

If I dream enough I can tell myself it's because they don't want to send out updates when a shipment is due soon...If only.

ASUS TUF non OC here. Moved from 494 to 457 in two weeks... Pretty sure none were shipped out during that time so it might just all be cancellations lol
it just people cancelling, and to give u a bit hope to keep ur money longer, they were none shipping at all for asus tuf.

Lack of comms is a bit bizarre considering OcUK have a massive forum providing perfect and easy access to customers!

Yeah I've seen it, but personally I think it's a bit harsh. I know the other place has a pretty little chart, but it does not make your card arrive any quicker. As for distributor allocation (in your review), I would take it with a pinch of salt.
I'm sure in a few weeks we will know more when higher volumes start coming. Nvidia are really the ones to blame here.
