*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

No so quick based on what some people post here. Some get it on the same day, some after almost a week. To be out of queue and out of money because of this company's greed is not a ride I'm signing up for.

Do you know what prisoner's dilemma is? Cause that's what they forced us into. Knowingly.

They didnt force you and you should get your money back quickly depending on the payment method. If you are not happy and have such anger towards them - CANCEL!

I am very curious to know what their plan is. To be still taking preorders as well means they must have something up their sleeve or have information that nobody knows about. Hopefully you are right about the large orders in November as no competitor has been getting large amounts of stock.
Either that or this will severely hurt their reputation.
The only thing they up their sleeve is a few million ££ sloshing around.

This situation is a joke. AMD will hopefully bring the goodies to the party soon and NVIDIA will get what they deserve. Their stock went thru the roof on the back of this stunt. And anyone disputing this isn't a complete utter stunt to the consumer is delusional.

The truth is if they had pulled the plug before launch their stock would have dropped, instead they created a bubble based on demand, use that as an excuse and are completely benefiting from this situation.

They knew their 20 rtx was not very successful and making the prices ridiculous for the 2080ti was no coincidence having planned the 30 to perform better at half the cost... and cutting down on some of the quality.

One more Eagle OC for everyone else as I've snagged a 3090 from a competitor, due for delivery tomorrow. I'm out!

If only they were closer to 15-20% dearer, I'd have gone for it too, as it stands I'm not paying double for a marginal improvement, at this rate the 20GB 3080's will be available so might consider swapping to one of them (if I'm allowed)

Do you know what a refund is?

:D Some people don’t, they simultaneously want to be in the queue while keeping their money and moaning about it.

I think a lot of people, certainly with a queue position over 100 would be better off cancelling and buying when there is confirmed stock somewhere.

I was told the ETA was on the 23rd of Sep, when I called them it turned out they didn't know at all they the ETA was. If not for that date on the page I'd go with competition. They put it there to lure people in. Now I need to God knows how long to get refund, they don't post estimates when my card is arriving, they didn't even let us know any forecast. At this point I might as well ask fortune teller. The should just refuse to take orders when they run out of stock, period. This is scammy tactics. Anti-competition etc.

It doesn't prevent competition, other businesses are just as free to put up pre-orders, and some did.

The original ETAs listed on the site were for the initial delivery batch, but orders quickly exceeded the number of cards in that batch. There are no estimates for when cards are arriving, that's the bottom line. Normally they only know of next batches shipping a few days ahead of when they do, and when that happens Gibbo posts them in the dedicated thread. Beyond that there is no more information, you can complain all you like but that's the reality we're in right this moment and no one appears to be an exception to that, including competitors.

Some of us WANT to queue even if we don't have updates, because it allows us to get into a queue ahead of others and get us our cards as fast as possible. Just because you don't want to use such a service because the shipment info is super important for you (for some reason), doesn't mean we should all be denied the ability to pre-order just because you don't like it, that's monumentally selfish.

Like others have said if you care so much then just cancel for a full refund. Refunds by most accounts are processed quite fast. We all know you wont however, because beyond all the complaining about lack of info, we all know the benefit of being in a pre-order queue is we'll get our cards as soon as they're available, where as if you leave then you'll get your card much later and you'd be dumb to shoot yourself in the foot and wait longer than you have to, over something as trivial as an ETA.

Yep I know I am being bent over but to be honest the number of productive hours wasted scouring forums and sites for stock it's worth it to me just to be done with it.

Then you're just as bad as the scalpers, there ain't no smoke without fire. Go get ripped off by all means. I'd rather wait than line some scumbags pockets

We heard nothing about PNYs, just missed the 3080 FE and 3090 FE, i think i may cancel in the next day or two, as no updates and the communications is so poor and other sites getting updates on regular basis
