*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3090 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

PNY cards are now listed as in-stock ... I know the price is at a bit of a premium, but any reason why they're not getting snapped up? I've no prior experience of PNY so I'm hesitant. Any significant reason not to grab one?
Nice of @Gibbo to inform us of these card coming in to stock....no wait!
They were in stock last week 10+ for ages, I don't know why people suddenly noticed them today.

PNY are not a bad company, there are certainly "worse" GPU brands. I think that that £150 overprice and being 330.99 more than the FE with the stock clocks and overall design were putting people off.
It's more than the Stix OC and its not even overclocked.

And relax. FE arrived today, my build is finally complete and glad I went for the bigger case. For what it’s worth, it came in a very nice box :D

Good luck to everyone still in the queue, hopefully it will pick up

Got my 3090 FE on Saturday (from a competitor that will not be named) so I think my time on this particular thread is coming to an end. If you're in queue for the Aorus Xtreme 3090, EVGA FTW3 3090 and Ventus 3080 will move up a queue position this week (scalping is totally un-Disco) so I hope this has made someone else's wait a little more manageable.

Dudes, it has been a pleasure. In the words of Philip K. Dick, everything in life is just for a while....

Not so fast ... how did you get an FE "from a competitor"? I thought you could only buy FE's direct from Nvidia?

Nvidia stopped selling the FE directly after launch day and designated one retailer per region to be the official source.

When they come in stock in your region the Nvidia store page then links to that retailer for you to purchase through.

I can see why you'd be sceptical my man, but Nvidia - the company responsible for providing the infrastructure for a lot of the world's most advanced AI and machine learning - had to admit defeat in the face of bots that, to my knowledge, were originally programmed to scalp trainers. Team Green passed the torch to a UK competitor of Overclockers, and this competitor now organises the UK sales and logistics for FE cards on behalf of Nvidia. My understandig is that they've outsourced sales and logistics of FE cards in many major local markets. It's amazing to think that the median compensation at Nvidia was USD 178,944 in fiscal 2020, and yet the group can't build a website able to handle its own hype. Still, they make brilliant graphics cards, so I guess I can forgive them.

You would have been able to purchase an RTX 3070 or 3090 FE for about two hours on Friday. Does anyone know how long the 3080 FEs were available for?

Anyway...I'm not going to hate on Overclockers - their online retail presence in the UK just massively outstripped the supply they've been given for this particular launch. Nothing they can do, and although it has taken me around an hour to get through to cusotmer services every time I've tried, the employees are polite, helpful and quick to process my requests.

manged to get myself a 3090 fe. really surprised at the build quality of the thing.

i was 305 in the queue for the asus strix oc... good luck everyone

I don’t know why you people are still doing it to yourself,I was in the strix OC queue last week until I left and within 3 days an MSi Gaming X trio was in my system and I’ve been gaming with it ever since, most of you will be waiting till next year here

It’s because I am 19th in the queue, hopefully the next lot in will include me. If not then yeah, will probably look elsewhere.
