*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3090 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Just noticed this Seasonic issue and I have a 3090 coming next week. I have a 3080 with a 1200wt Seasonic now so am I right assuming that that I wont have a problem as theres enough power to go round or is this an issue with all Seasonic PSU's?

Yes, £2k per card is simply is not acceptable. Are these gpus no longer made for kids to play video games?

Whatever you think of the cost, the 3090 was never made for "kids to play video games". Its aimed at designers and the like. The 3060 ot the 3070 are the mainstream cards but high end cards are not aimed at kids. Look at the Steam details on what people actually game on. A huge percentage use 1080p and onboard graphics. We are in an echo chamber here with people who share the same interest. Most people dont even have 970s or 1070s let alone 3090s.

I thought that I'd paid well over the odds for my Suprim X at £1749. Now I see them going for £2K!!! Hey, I've saved £250 ! I can go spend that on something.... (my twisted logic is messing me up again..)

I seen a second hand 3070 go for £900 on the bay yesterday. I put my 3080 on gumtree to judge interest and it could have gone for 1200 within 30 minutes. You only need to look at the MM. 1080ti's going for over £400 when I sold my 2080ti before Xmas for £420

I’ve seen it mentioned on the 850w focus gold as seasonic have replaced mine with an 1000w which would be here Monday I’ll let you know how I get on.

You sold your 2080 ti for £420? lol I sold mine in November for £850

Do you want a well done or something?

Sold it on here. No flipping rules and no one on the MM is going to pay that. I put it on for what I felt was a fair price for other people that use the Members Market and have done for years. It has always done me well when I have bought stuff and these prices will blow over and I will continue to deal with the same people rather than try and price gauge to make a short term buck.

No , from what I've seen it's mostly the 750w - 850w focus gold and the odd prime psu's. Exactly the same behaviour when using a 3090. Random restarts and shut downs. It must be a small percentage of units that are failing otherwise it would be more prevelent when searching online I'm thinking.

Your logic isn't as messed up as you think.

I'm sure we all thought that we paid over the odds, I know I did when laying down £1500 back in October on a graphics card.

With the market being what it is and will be for the forseable future, looks like we have got a bargain :)

Funnily enough I have to agree. I bought a KFA SG 3090 for £1,549 and also just bought an iiyama 34" 3440x1440 Red Eagle G-Master 144hz to tax the card a bit more and it's excellent. Having fun.
