With Chinese New Year coming to an end this Monday, should I place a preorder for a 3090 or am I better off waiting for stock to be loaded directly to the site?
Please do not talk nonsense while abusing the word literally. The RTX 3090 is indeed awful value, but in performance terms it is on average between 10-15% faster than an RTX 3080, as reading the MANY reviews out there will show. You are better getting a 3080 (costs £750).
The 3090 is literally 2-3% better in gaming and costs £1,900.

Also, where can you currently get an RTX3080 for £750?

What for? Mining , you will go broke! And regardless I’m not looking to purchase one for gaming anyways.
In most games it's 3-5% and that's at 4k. At 1080p it's neck and neck performance like 1-3%. At 8k it pulls away more (but at less than 30fps in games, whats the point and 8k monitor! Really! Where) The card is a poor buy for gaming, it's unfortunate but true. It's literally a 3080 with 5% more power but costs twice the price lool.

Again, no it isn't on average 3-5% faster at 4k. It is on average between 10-15% faster at 4k, this is the conclusion of every professional review I have read so far that has directly compared them. Please show me some reviews that methodically tested a suite of modern games that support your figures. In most games it's 3-5% and that's at 4k (We are talking like 5-8fps difference here). not sure what the point is your trying to make especially as this thread is about people who are looking to buy a 3090. plus the cost reference has been done to death earlierYou are better getting a 3080 (costs £750).

Is this for all 3090’s or just some of them? Also is this when trying to run everything in 4K at Max settings?Yes, the power draw is insanely inaccurate at times from the card causing it to black screen,if the exact power is used, so I read a greater rated PSU is needed to solve this power draw issue.
Gibbo on the 30xx thread: "We have no more delivery updates on 3080 at the moment, only 3090's and 3070's are incoming at present."
I wonder if any 3090s will be put directly on site and if I'll be able to grab one without having a preorder
Ocuk had like 20 pcs in early January then, you could have snapped one up then for £1,900
@OldBoy75 New PSU turned up was a GX-1000 model, rebuilt the pc and done a clean reinstall and so far everythings looking good been playing fs2020 no problems at all
