“Anyone returning their GTX970 and wanting a great deal on a Radeon with a full 4GB please let us know,” said Roy Taylor, corporate vice president of global channel sales at AMD, in a Twitter post.

"4GB MEANS 4GB"

pwnage.

:D

If Intel fancy firing a few shots, AMD stating their CPU's include "Cool & Quiet" which obviously emit no noise when working and when at 100% are definitely not cool? :p

look at all this fanboyism. You do realize a 970 is still better than a 290x?

Go and check out all the benchmark threads and then come back. At stock sure but once there is some overclocking involved it's not. Even at stock and high resolution the 290x is better. Did I mention the 290x has 4gb of full fat ram or in some cases 8. Green piece does love the 970 though.

I'm surprised its taking Nvidia so long to attempt to come up with something to appease people......instead their ignorance is clearly making it worse and alienating loads

I don't think they can do much as it's in the hardware. They don't strike me as a company that care to much about about there users mainly due to most thinking amd are still bad with drivers. Imo it's there own customers that need to give them a good kick in the ****. They should have released the gtx970 as a 3.5gb card and be upfront. The sales would still have been massive due to how fast it is.
