NVIDIA GTX 400 SERIES GRAPHICS CARD LAUNCH

We have had small delivery of Fermi today unfortunately not enough to complete hardly any of the back orders. I am currently speaking with NVIDIA and all the partners and the general opinion is there is a large wave of Fermi parts on the way for mid to the end of next week. Sorry for not being too specific but I am only working on the information I have which is poor at best.

I will be in a better position over the next couple of days and as soon as I know any more info will let you all know.

I was told by overclockers sales that the POV cards were due in tommorow. Looks like another big site already have their POV cards.

It's not that bad. The launch was three weeks ago and it was due to be released only 2 weeks ago. About par for the course with a new product.

According to this this, Gainward should have good availability soon. Fingers crossed that means this week!

Benchmarks are worth looking at too - looks like they've used a more recent driver. 470 and 5870 are about neck and neck, 480 convincingly beats it.

I imagine the killer dust cloud is hampering imports right now, but I don't suppose you have any update as to when you will be getting stock in?

I was going to ask the same thing. I am hoping these cards are coming across Europe via road so shouldn't be effected by the volcanic ash.

I would love to know if the Asus cards will arrive on Friday or any other make of 480 will arrive this week?

The volcanic ash is caused by iceland being the first place to recieve any stock of Fermi cards. It was Nfidlias way of testing the cards, send them too a cold place and see what temps are like = the island of iceland is now melting
