Hi, For your GeForce GTX 480/470 stories posting on Friday, March 26th at 7:01 EDT, please indicate that widespread e-tail availability of both GeForce GTX 480 and GTX 470 will happen the week of April 12, 2010. We are building 10s of thousands of units for initial availability, and this will ensure our partners have ample volume for what is the most anticipated GPU launch ever. If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to ask. Thanks, NVPR
The biggest GPU launch ever?
Nvidia make me laugh lol.
the most anticipated GPU launch ever
Cards are power hungry and very hot, and as a result, probably loud. No general availability until April, and even that may be in question.
100% agree. With new gaming consoles offering 720P quality on your TV for the same price as a flagship PC graphics card, it's not looking good. It almost makes me think twice about building a gaming PC at all. This is bad for the gfx card market, poor competition may slow things down somewhat, and keep prices high, at least for now. I firmly believe that the way these cards are made has reached a peak.
omg i want 1 but i dunno what 1 to order ? :S. whats the lik average 1 ?. i still need to buy the rest of thep c for itto and probaly getting a overclocked i7 bundle of some kind.
lol at overclockers ad(by nvidia probably)/link to GPU section for these cards:

"Fastest gaming GPU on the Planet".... no there not

Technically it's not the fastest as the 5870 still beats it in a number of games.
The 480 is technically the fastest single GPU.
Doesn't mean anyone who buys one isn't clearly insane.
Instead I would say "One of the fastest GPU's in the world".
