Nvidia GTX Titan II Flagship with GM200 Core Is Launching Sooner Than Expected – Ready Within 2 Mont

given that samples of the 204 shipped in june and are expected oct/nov my guess is samples ship aug earliest release will be feb march which lines up with previous things.

Anyway it will more than likely replace the titan outright.

then a bit later we will see a 980 version :)

a more power efficent 780 equiv on the gm200 with 6gb of ram will be nice :o

So it's the GTX670/GTX680, then Titan, then GTX780 all over again...being spreaded across 2 gens.

People that want the big Maxwell got a loooooong wait. And then 980 would be released with only half the vram as the Titan 2, and people that want to properly game on 4K would need to grab two to three Titan 2, for an amazing £2-£3K :p

Ive very happy with my titan black sli I found it a quite a jump from 670sli at a res of 3440x1440, no remorse here.
But due to the cost I will be keeping these cards longer than 2 years else ill feel like I wasted lots of money.

thats the thing i normally upgrade every year, but atm ium using 570 2.5gb on its own. as my 7990 is RMAed if i get my cost back on it titan black is 300 quid :)

TBH i dont mind gives time to see what AMD have out by then aswell I'm sure once the 880's out they will be estimating what they need to release to match it, if they cant might well be a titan 2 for me next year

Taken the plunge and brought a 290.

Waiting for nvidia to announce the 880 at £300 with 780Ti beating performance so I can regret my decision haha

The 880 wont be £300 if it beats the 780Ti. If the 880 beats the Ti by a measurable margin (say 15-20%) then i reckon it will be around £400/the 680's launch price.
