Nvidia GTX280/260 and 9800GTX/+ 177.39 Beta Driver with PhysX-Support

Using GT SLI and just installed the 177.39 drivers for vista 64 and my frames are noticeably higher in Age of Conan and Crysis... more importantly both "feel" far smoother! :p

Really really happy :D

EDIT: It was only today I was posting about my disapointment with SLi and how it just does not feel smooth even though the frames rise with second gpu enabled.
crysis doesnt even have physx. your imagining it

Age of Conan is definetly smoother as I said before, fantastic set of drivers regardless of the physx stuff :)

Mass Effect is also smoother, which is strange, as i would have said it was smooth before.

this may be a stupid question but if i remove my old nvidia driver (driver cleaner etc) do i lose my saved profiles in rivatuner and ultramon?

and can anyone point me to a guide to cleanly uninstall old and install new nvidia drivers plz/

Since installing the drivers (177 and physx) I get 10-15% higher framerates in crysis, bioshock and many other games and they feel smoother - but mass effect the framerate is only 1-2fps higher and I get pauses when entering new areas - that I didn't get before.

I dont get that on Mass Effect matey.

Does anyone know where the phsyx effects are in Ghost Recon? I have that and havent ever played past the training level :P

I'll retest mass effect in a bit - I did it at the end of testing a lot of other games/benchmarks so the PC could have been a bit cluttered by that point.

Hmm compared to 177.24 I get wierd effects (wireframe style texture issues) with stuff in Age of Conan, perhaps that'll get fixed by the big patch for conan on monday, otherwise Im back to the older set :)

Make sure its patched to the newest version then in the options turn physics to extreme.

GRAW 1 is pretty rubbish phsyx wise but GRAW 2 is neat, check out the extra level that appears with Phsysx.

Ill try and pick that up if i see it cheap, i think i have it patched up to the latest anyway.

Why not just do it the normal way ?.

Start the Nvidia Installer, it will extract all the files to C:Nvidia, then stop it after the extraction stage before it asks to install.

Go to the C:Nvidia folder and replace the existing file by pasting the Modded file into this folder, and agree to Overwrite it.

Look at all the files in the folder and find the SETUP.EXE and now run it and the driver will install from the correct location and use the Modded file.

Installed 177.39 and physX driver on my 880GT but when i try to run the carwash demo I just get a "Could not create new scene" error. I guess its not working then.
