Is the 680i really that bad as i want sli and i need to buy before christmas. Is it really such a no go? I thought lots of people liked the Evga board?

Seriously in my sig 680i terrible board and i have the new revision. I have had a total of 5 680i boards in 9 months. Nothing but problems.

You will be throwing good money away

Regarding the 680is Fed up with continual RMA's. Bios updates that then restrict your over clock. Motherboard borking the memory. FSB full of holes.


Put your money aside mate there are bigger and better and its not the 680i or the 780i i truly believe the 790i's will be carrying the overclocking swing. that is my personal opinion.

What is causing you to have to keep rma them exacly? because i wanted sli and dont really want crossfire as the cards arn't as powerful and arn't supported in crysis.

1st borked my ram all all 4 gigs

2nd Board Wouldnt see my USB key board and mouse would work then wouldnt work. Didnt even see ps2 keyboard/ mouse. Bios released to address the issue flashed didnt resolve. RMA

3rd Board would played up with my Drives could,nt find them. Had never ending problems regarding raid set up flashed to latest Bios resolved then started again. Poor overclocking FSB holes (mother board had a mole residing in it). Voltages higher than previously to attain overclock

4th board would not even post

5th Board was fine until flashed with p31 Bios and 2,3 as above started happening again. Rolled back to previous Bios (issue 2,3) resolved but wont overclock beyond 3Ghz (FSB mole was back in residence)


Given up with it cant even be bothered to RMA it

latest board on p31 bios overclocked wont push past 3.2. Huge FSB holes (the resident mole is a permanent squatter). Higher voltages required than previously for over clock. just a night mare really
