I don't think anyone would argue that GPU Physics is awesome and would be amazing in every game.

What people hate is that nVidia have locked out half the gamers from using it by making it propriatory.

No one is going to buy a GPU based purely on PhysX support, and developers aren't going to put time and effort into making cool PhysX implementations when a large portion of their playerbase will never get to see it.
 
Flex looks interesting tho i could have sworn most of that has been done a few years back? Still looks cool. The speaker said "have fluids coming out of characters" cracked me up a little. :D

That must make me special then Hex as when I jumped from 580s to 7970s, Physx was the deciding factor in jumping back to 780s. I know it might sound daft but I really felt like I was missing out on.......and I apologise for this.......how the game was meant to be played :o

Oh no.....I just realised that for all my claims of being non-biased in GPU choice....I may in fact be an Nvidia fan after all ;)
 
People are disillusioned with physics in general because it's still an afterthought in games and hasn't lived up to the hype of yesteryear.
