nVidia PhysX

I've installed the nVidia PhysX package on my computer with 8800GT 512mb. However, the selection for which hardware physics device to use is greyed out, and none of the demos work (they all crash). How do I make it work?

As said already.. it must be your drivers as my 8800GT's work fine with PhysX

I have whatever is the version available on the nVidia website. 169.something or other I think (not at PC to check).

175.X are the latest...

Ah yes so they are, but those are the ones I have installed anyway. Still no PhysX.

177.83 are the latest official drivers. You need to go to the above link to download them. Physx will work once you install these.

Obviously where you go through selecting what card you have, what os you have etc isn't up to date. Will try newer drivers when I get home.

Yeah I noticed that.. you have to look around to find the newer ones for some reason.

As those don't include the PhysX drivers, PhysX drivers are seperate from the display drivers, but Nvidia have included the PhysX drivers with the 177.83's and 177.92's i think.

Thats probably because the display drivers you have on don't have the PhysX support, so the PhysX drivers won't work with those.

You have to get PhysX supported display drivers to be able to use the PhysX drivers.

177.83 + phsyX, dont get the beta's when these are fine
