This is getting out of hand
I started it Ill hold my hands up
I said the 4890 and 275 were even, Ive since conceded the 275 is marginally faster, but imo not worth the premium
The issue I had was with people quoting the special benefits of NVidia like Cuda and Physx (not quoted in this thread but often done so in others) my retort was that ATI uses DX10.1 that NVidia doesnt, these are facts and cant be disputed, imo that means that an argument for one or the other based on these is flawed, as it is missing the others benefits, further, imo, according to things Ive read, DX10.1 has more benefit than physx in most games, Im not sure about cuda as I havent seen any comparisons
Anyway, to try and get back to the original OPs question (kinda-there wasnt actually a question in there iirc) most people do not think the 275s will reduce in price anytime soon, NVidia appears to have responded to ATIs price drops by lowering the price of the 260s
