** NVIDIA RTX 30 SERIES NOW ONLINE AT OVERCLOCKERS UK (3090 / 3080 / 3070) **

I basically will be buying one regardless of cost, so even if one creeps to £900 I'll buy that.

if im not mistaken didnt Gibbo do rather well out of the bitcoin boom? I know years ago on here a lot of the boys mined, i was one of the doofuses who sold 100s of coins for scrap back in the day but i know several hoarded and kept the faith. I was always under the impression Gibbo was one of those and bade some tidy $$$

No that was the other lad I think? the one with the older lambo

Electric Light Orchestra - Livin' Thing (Official Video)
Play this while hitting your F5 key and waiting to order your card.:p
EDIT:- and watching the prices go up.

This £30 R9 280x I picked up as a stop gap has just started artifact lightly in windows, seems okay in games? I NEED A NEW CARD ASAP this thing is barely hanging on LOL.

Yeh, the gouging stops...when the cards are finally for sale.

Thank goodness for that unwritten rule.

Really? When stuff is in high demand and short supply and volatile currency rates I have seen each batch of pre-orders increase in price.

Same, i was a purchaser for a good few years working for a large retail company. They paid extremely well as the job entitles a lot of out of hours work and you're expected to take calls at all times of the day which i didn't mind. Instead of buying luxury items though i invested it into a house and got onto the housing market. Best decision ever and so glad i didn't waste money on unnecessary things, hard to imagine where i'd be today if i hadn't done.

That is my current plan, I do regret spending it on crap and wish indeed I saved up more though.

However last few years I have done a lot of extra work and spent next to nothing aside from the necessary to get back. Really have a hard time justifying any pc parts, or anything in general really. Tempted by a 3080 or 3090 but I know it will just take me further back from what’s important.

Should hopefully have around £40-50k by mid next year at which hopefully enough to put a decent deposit and house where I currently live. Although I’m not really sure what’s what, never really had it explained to me what’s best mortgage wise. Renting is crap as there is so much I want to modify, build etc.

Plus you're paying someone elses mortgage for them when you could be paying you're own off.

I know what you mean, when you've worked so hard and you know if you buy stuff like pc parts its going to depreciate fast and you know you'll never get your money back. It's always tempting but in the back of your mind you know you should save it and put that money down on a deposit for a house. All about making that £50k grow to £100k and £100k to £200k etc etc till early retirement.

My last little sum i actually ended up throwing it at my mortgage, especially with the low rate im paying at the moment it seemed the right thing to do. The earlier i can pay off my mortgage and pay less interest the better.

Do people actually belive Gibbo has a Ferrari? No offence to the guy but I don't see how a purchasing manager can justify the economics of Ferrari ownership. But hey ho. None of my business.
Yes he has, and an M5, your point being?

Your clearly not very good at Googling stuff, him and his cars are all over the web and good on the bloke!

Hard work (he moved to a different part of the country during his career for example) in his case has paid off.

In the U.S. success like his is lauded Yet here in the U.K. it’s questioned. Sad really.

As for the 30xx series, I’ll wait for a b-grade bargain just as I did with my 10series.

So what’s the crack with the FE guys? Just literally wait till they appear on the nvidia website? Is there any particular time or just refresh all day long?

If you have told the website to notify you then they will send you an email when they've in stock.

Then you go to the website, place your order, then one will be sent to you.

Simples.
