It said pre order , but when i was reading something about the amphere status it said that they will go live as pre orders and be dispatched as they have them . so im just hoping they have some in stock , but as far as I know from 12:55 onwards they were up as preorders

Problem is the card I actually want is a 3080

Well to be fair I don't have one of those either

But I do have a Titan X Pascal so a 3070 is more like a 1 generation leap effectively as it's so similar to the 2080Ti

Yep. Had one in my basket. Could have purchased it, but I am not really interested in a 3070.

Me too, decided against it as would have had buyers remorse, 3080FE or 6800Xt for me please.
