Remember to utilise your ISA allowance before using a General Investment/Dealing Account.good ol tax man, although i never knew about HMRC connect, was an interesting quick read! Luckily always been on the safe side with the tax man as never wanted to cross over, so i take all precautions
Pretty sure there's little they can do, outside of having some kind of purchase verification step (which frankly, I think all retailers of high-demand products should do do tbh). Imagine a CAPCHA step tripping you up on the last page of check out as you try to find the 3 traffic lights That said, I guess from OverClockers perspective, at the end of a day a sale is a sale so why would they go to the extra effort. Will OcUK be using suitable anti-scalper measures? I’ve attempted to purchase similar limited launches and scalpers have absolutely dominated the lay-people.
They've got a 1 card per user policy, no how that's going to work in practice it depends, e.g. if they crosscheck addresses etc or just a website limit kinda thing. Will OcUK be using suitable anti-scalper measures? Yes, it's called legacy website infrastructure that doesn't load when a new product launches. Think of it as built-in DDOS protectionWill OcUK be using suitable anti-scalper measures? I’ve attempted to purchase similar limited launches and scalpers have absolutely dominated the lay-people.
I really hope so, I think buying an FE direct is just a pipedream tbhWill OcUK be using suitable anti-scalper measures? I’ve attempted to purchase similar limited launches and scalpers have absolutely dominated the lay-people.
even if the scalpers make £100 of scalped profit, they will do it, as £100 is a lot of money.I don’t think that on the 5090 anyway, there will be much to be made for scalpers, the base price for relatively little gain is already high enough.
I think 5090fe could be nearly all scalped mind.
Will they all (as in all SKU's for the 5090) go live at the same time? Should I go for a specific card that I want or just grab wahtever I can?
They will all go live at the same time. Pick which one before hand with a backup in case. Traditionally the high end Asus cards are in small numbers. Will they all (as in all SKU's for the 5090) go live at the same time? Should I go for a specific card that I want or just grab wahtever I can?

In my very, very long experience in trading and buying video cards, paying a bit more actually does get you a better card. Take the spectrum of the 4-series. The worst card in the line up still works, but it runs hotter, is power limited, and the components are generally skimped on, especially for nVidia (AMD card are generally quality across the board). Paying 10% more can mean the difference between an annoyingly loud card that cant't be overclocked, and one that does what you want. That said, the benefits depreciate on the upper end e.g. a TUF is exceedingly close to a Strix in all areas. Will they all (as in all SKU's for the 5090) go live at the same time? Its good to know. I went FE for the 30 series because i loved the aesthetic, but then bought a stupid big case and now a 5090 FE seems daft lolIn my very, very long experience in trading and buying video cards, paying a bit more actually does get you a better card.
