NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - OFFICIAL PRE-ORDER THREAD!

I've never actually pre-ordered a GPU before, how do you go about finding a place to pre-order a specific one? Reason being I saw the ROG Strix 5070Ti OC Edition and the dot matrix style RGB on the front of it looks great, but no idea where will stock it?
Try keep an eye out on their website: https://rog.asus.com/uk/graphics-cards/graphics-cards/rog-strix/rog-strix-rtx5070ti-o16g-gaming/
There are no stores listed in the "where to buy" section yet: https://rog.asus.com/uk/graphics-cards/graphics-cards/rog-strix/rog-strix-rtx5070ti-o16g-gaming/wtb/
But OcUK is listed for this other cards "where to buy" for example: https://rog.asus.com/uk/graphics-cards/graphics-cards/rog-astral/rog-astral-rtx5080-16g-gaming/wtb/

It's possible that they are or will be listed on other stores, but it's against the rules to talk about other stores, and I personally haven't checked.
They're not listed on OcUK yet - but they *probably* will get a listing before they're released (OcUK have been updating the listings this week since the announcements).

Wait are you being serious? I never bothered with 4XXX series, is that how it was with that launch?
The 4090 FE once sold out in 11 minutes, from seeing a Telegram notification about it to getting to the PC and trying to get it, GONE.

I got a 4090 on release from overclockers.. If you get your order within the first 10 minutes you should be okay.. it does depends on there stock levels as they get more from some AIB's than others and some none at all of particular cards.
I seem to remember there being a post a day or so before release date of what AIB stock they had and whether it was high or low volume. Whether they do that this time or not no one knows

I just checked my emails and i know i placed my order within the first 10 minutes of release at 2pm but i didnt get confirmation from them via email until 15:36, then a shipping email at 16:06, then an email from DPD at 20:38 saying it will be arriving tomorrow and finally the invoice at 21:22 from overclockers

I don't think there's even a concrete release date for the 5070s yet, apart from "starting in February", so it will all likely be sorted out in due time.

11 minutes sounds pretty casual, unless the websites are breaking. There are always the overpriced AIBs that will surely remain in stock for a while if you can't manage a FE.

Not preordered before, do they show stock? Or is it a bit blind and some have higher stock amounts and if you pick one you could be unlucky, whereas if you picked another with higher stock you would get one?

Hey, thanks for this, bookmarked the Strix where to buy page. I'm assuming it's a case of find out when the pre-orders release and repeatedly trying to get an order through?

I remember the 4090 release day. I hammered the F5 button just before 2pm like 1.58. The website slows down to a crawl literally as so many people were logging onto it. Originally I purchased the zotac 4090 with Amazon pay. It went though. But then I never got the email. They have an allocation of certain AIB's so my advice is to get one where there is plenty of allocation.

So back to my story. My friend texts me saing he got his email and I tell him I never got one. Then Gibbo pointed out that Amazon pay was on the fritz. I posted on the forums and gibbo got in touch with me. I left my phone number with them and they phoned me while I was at work. The Zotacs had all sold out as they were one of the cheapest on release day. The sales rep told me I could choose between the suprim X and some other brand I can;t remember which. The strix were already sold out as they didn't have that many that came in.

I paid with it immediately with my debit card and it was delivered next day. So the best course of action to make sure you give yourself the best possible chance of getting one is to be at your PC just before 2pm hammering the f5 button like a madman. Make sure all your details are up to date and everything is correct. Do not choose finance or amazon pay as this delays your order going to the actual queue. Paypal is 10 mins and finance is usually about an hour as stated by gibbo. This doesn't sound like a long time but when it comes to only a set allocation of units it could drop you way down on the queue order.

The same applies to if you are at work on mobile. I have two phones all of my details are on my iphone but not on my samsung. When the 9800x3d dropped I was using my samsung and I didn;t have any of my details stored on that phone so that seriously hindered my queue order.

Certains cards will be short in allocation and will sell faster than others. Stuff like the strix have always been smaller in allocation than other AIBS and the moment they go up on the site they vanish straight away. Take into account as well the lag with so many people accessing the site there is gonna be major lag I kid you not. Decide what you want to pay and what card you want treat it like monopoly go to jail card. Do not pass go, do not collect 200 I.e purchase the card and pay for it straight away. Do not take your time and decide. Decide the night before. In extreme cases if you are waiting for the site to update and you need to pee or poop. Just do it where you sit. Once it goes live that's when the real chaos begins. It's all about the chase.

To paraphase and slightly alter the late and great Bill Shankly/Vince Lombardi quote "winning isn't everything..it's the only thing".

"Graphic cards isn't everything..it's the only thing" See you geeks on January 30th.

Will we get actual prices for the cards in advance so we can at least be looking at ones in our price range. I know there will be a lot of variation in the prices bit Inwant some time to consider which one is best without going nuts.

Never forget the fe went from "coming soon" to sold out instantaneously at 2pm, because a back door link had been posted a few minutes before. Then the ocuk website went down a minute after launch for over an hour. Launch was not a good time lol.

I really hope so. I've got a few options in mind right now, but the prices would probably help me settle on one.

Prices arent shown until launch time, you just have to be prepared to pay more than the FE.. the FE was £1699 last time so you can predict the cheapest AIB is going to be around £1800ish so do the same with the 5090 FE... be prepared for £2100 plus for an AIB. I guess work out your budget and quickly see what is within and decide.

This is my experience from watching the 3000 and 4000 series launch.. you just have to be quick and fight the website going up and down... there is going to be some disappointments

If I wanted a new build with a 5080/5090 - how would this work? Are you keeping so many reserved for pre-builds and when do these go on pre-order?
