NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - (PRE)ORDER DISCUSSION **NO COMPETITOR HINTING**

i take it its fine to collect instead of go for delivery? im literally a mile away.
any idea what models will actually be in stock? i have no idea which 1 to go for

Collection only works if your in queue position one but if online orders are ahead of you they get priority as that’s fairest wayl. As stock is limited there will only be limited amounts and first come first served based on inline order queue position.

Hope pricing of the AIB options isn't too bad. Need to figure out which one I want, then hope work don't schedule any meetings for 2pm that day lol (blocked out my calendar just in case).

Fingers crossed I'll be able to grab a 5080, and not be tempted into a 5090, to go with my upgrade to 9800X3D.

Are there likely to be restrictions on the 5070 (non Ti) - will you ship to Republic of Ireland?

@Gibbo I'm interested in a 5070ti that's at or less than 300mm in length for my SFF. Have any models been revealed yet that meet that spec? Would also need to be a maximum of 2.5 slots in width. At the very least I'm hoping MSI will do one of their usual Ventus 2X models.

With the ‘pre-order’ function, if we effectively purchase a card as a pre-order does that guarantee the card? Also, is there any guide of how long we can expect to wait before they are shipped after pre-ordering? Thanks

It guarantees a place in the order queue as to when they turn up thats in the lap of the gods. In other words your guess is as good as anyone elses theres no official date on any of it only an ETA which can be revised anytime. The price you pay however will be inflation proof thats the main thing going for it the 9800x3d's have increased by almost £100 since launch day for example

This helps:

I am on the SFF boat as well.

I am waiting for the AIB prices. Thinking of picking a model I like and if pricing is roughly similar to the FE then I'll go for a 5090. If not I might just wait. Could be a long wait though.
Not for the AIB cards
as far as I am aware there is no founders edition for the 5070ti and thats probably the card I am most interested in unless the 5080 reviews dazzle me I'll be going AIB and the £9000 fake price tag isn't helpful

Well I've seen it posted on multiple occasions in this forum that the current 'fake' prices for the various 5000 card families are supposedly 10x of the guide price. Obviously they will differ per model, but an AIB partner markup to around 900 for the 5070ti doesn't seem outlandish.

You'll probably get 20 seconds realistically before they all sell out, in which case its just buy anything as soon as its available if you're desperate for a new card.
I have to buy a new PC. Maybe it is easier to buy a prebuilt with a 5090 inside, right?

I've never actually pre-ordered a GPU before, how do you go about finding a place to pre-order a specific one? Reason being I saw the ROG Strix 5070Ti OC Edition and the dot matrix style RGB on the front of it looks great, but no idea where will stock it?
